Hello VJ Community,

It is a pleasure to post again. This time not so stressed but with an inquiry regarding an I-765 EAD application.

Ok, my case status says:

"On December 10, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283"

Has any of you some experience, as of how long does it take to receive it after approval?

Is it really 30 days?

Does the approval notice come with the card?

Has someone gotten the EAD sooner? How soon?

I have a big question mark in my head, some light shed on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steffy

My EAD card came within 8 days, I think that if you do not receive within 30 days you will need to call them.

Agree!

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

To the best of my knowledge and in terms of what I have read and heard from individuals who have gone through this process, the notice is separate from the GC. In fact, with e-notification the petitioner can receive updates regarding the "Production of your new Card." You may even get another notice saying, "your card has been produced."

In some cases, the EAD may come before the actual card. It's all a waiting game now.
