Hello All,

A new anxious I-129F filer joins the crowd.

I mailed in the completed I-129F for my fiancee in Pakistan. I think I have done a good job, about 77 pages, all items numbered on cover sheet with few numbered tabs at the bottom for ease of navigation.

Postal money order

Cover letter

G-1145

Form FC-029

I-129F

Both G325A with two photos each in separate ziplock bags

naturalization certificate (F & back)...back is just a plane page?

passport, all pages ......petitioner

Birth certificates......... PET.

National Identity card for overseas Pakistanis.......PET.

divorce certificates

birth certificate.....BEN

Passport, international travel records, and NIC card copies...BEN (not all pages of the passport, just the front and the travel records)

A word document explaining the relationship, with colored dated pics from meetings, engagement shopping/events, dress/kfc receipt, boarding passes, meal receipts at the airports, Viber chat log (15 pages)

I think that was it, I will check it against the cover letter and make any corrections.

Now waiting for NOA-1

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the K-1 Case Progress subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

^^Thanks bud, it would be good to see how our cases progress, I will be following up on your case as well..Good Luck

To be prepared for the next step, I have asked her to get the Police report ahead of time, besides that I foresee the following steps before she goes in for the interview, please correct me if I have missed anything?

I-134 Affidavit of support

DS-156 & DS-156k have been replaced with DS-160, is that correct?

Also with Packet 3 she would still submit DS-230?

She cannot find any vaccination records, so we will have her take the shots from the same medical place which has been assigned by US consulate?

Thank you

Well I will say that you shouldnt have her get the police now bc it has to be less than 30 days old....the next step is the I-134 and the DS-160 like u said and depending on what paxket is sent in her country u could possibly need the DS230 as well....she will need her birth certificate long form passport and ID card from her country as well as ur copies of the original petition in case they ask for it and any new evidence and pictures u have accumulated since the petition was submitted and of course ur sealed envelope from the uscis civil surgeon which will.give her or send the medical exam sealed to the consulate....and as far as the shots are concerned she does not need her shots immunixations to recieve k1 visa she can get those done once in usa but she will need them for AOS perm res petition and those immunizations sometimes are hard to find here in usa....so if she can get them.all in her country even tho it may be more money its prob easier...but the TB test is only good for 1 yr so she would prob have to retake that one only when she gets here....well my finger hurts now so let me know later if that helped u at all...bye

Good news, I got an email/text today that our case has been approved, and I should get I-797 in mail pretty soon. It will be processed at Texas Service Center.

^

She already has the long form of her birth certificate, and she is now working on getting a new ID and Passport and should have them within a month. I have a scanned color copy of the entire package and I will make sure that I provide additional evidence of the ongoing relationship, a new intent to marry letter and I-134 once I have my 2013 W2.

When do we submit DS-160, after the case has been forwarded to the NVC/consulate or once packet 3 has been sent to her?

The medical/immunization would also have to wait until the consulate have assigned the doctor, is that correct?
