Once you are issued a form 221G - request for additional evidence, your case status will read "Administrative Processing". It will remain like this until a decision is made at your next interview.

I can understand how you feel concerning the rude CO. I had a similar experience in Accra in October. However, just ensure you take back all the documents you provided and any old ones you find.

Additionally, try to remember the questions you were asked, something might stand out. Mine had to do with my Previous B2 visa denials. The person who invited me lived in the same city as my fiancé, and the CO wanted know if they knew each other. It was also the main theme in my second interview.

I was also advised to go with my fiancé to the window, which I believe made a great impact.

I wish you all the best.

What types of questions were you asked? Is this fiance or marriage visa?

I have researched the Ghana interview thread and came up with a list of possible questions at the K1 interview so here goes:

How did you meet?

Where does petitioner work?

What does petitioner do for a living?

When did petitioner first come to the US?

What floor does petitioner work on?

What is petitioner’s address?

When did the man propose?

When do you plan to get married?

How many hours does petitioner work?

How many days does petitioner work?

How many times has petitioner come to Ghana?

How long did petitioner stay (each visit)?

What are the names of petitioner’s siblings, parents?

Have you met petitioner’s children/parents?

What are the names of petitioner’s children and how old are they?

What are the names of petitioner’s pets?

(If previously married)

What was petitioner’s husband/wife’s name?

How long were they married?

If you previously applied for a B2 visa for the same person you are going to be asked why you did so and were you planning of getting married on the B2 visa?

You are also going to be asked to write down your fiance(e)’s name on piece of paper (with no hesitation) so be prepared with spelling, etc.

Love is a gift and not to be earned, therefore one should never hold any regrets for giving love regardless of the outcome...

With these mounting evidence, the CO may not have been satisfied with the answers so the dreaded RFE that is why he has to tell us the questions he was asked. Being able to submit documentary evidence is one thing and being able to answer the CO questions to his/her satisfaction is another. I think he may have failed the latter so giving us the questions may help us to give him better response going forward.

I can relate to your experience, especially with the rude CO. I went through the same thing in October, and you even have more documents than I did. But like everyone else has said, take back the same documents and add any existing ones you may have omitted.

Additionally, try to go through the questions and isolate anything that seems to stand out. I was also advised on this forum to go with my fiancé to the window, and I believe it had a great impact.

I wish I could say "relax", but I know better. All the best.

Sorry to post on your reply, but I have no idea how to post a comment. I wanted to know if anyone had to go get their birth certificate fixed after being approved, and then asked to come back the Friday to pick up their visa? Or did they have you come back the next Friday to get the visa?

well i was asked abt six questions. . . .

1.who petitioned for u? 2.how did u meet? 3.when? 4.when did she arrive in Ghana 5. How long did she stay? 6.how did the relationship start? That was it! Then she asked me when my fiancee arrived this time and when she would be leaving then gave me a paper saying we should come back with more evidence cuz she doesn't believe we have a romantic relationship(with attitude n rudness). I don't have a problem if additional evidence is needed but the fact that she was very rude and had an attitude got my fiancee upset so she made a complaint to a supervisor the next day.

Well your fiancee getting upset with the CO is no no. I think you should have expected to be asked these questions you were asked but that is beside the point now. I just wonder why you were asked who petitioned for you when your fiancee was with you. Didn't she go with you to the window when you were called? If she didn't, she should do that during your second interview and she should be respectful instead of getting upset. Remember that visa interview is not different from job interview and since you can't get upset with the interviewer during job interview so does visa interview. Follow Akua44 posting thread who had almost similar experience and hopefully you sail through the second time. Good luck

I'm sorry to hear about this, it has me wondering whether it's common in Ghana to be given RFE's without just cause. After reading the evidence you submitted, I can't understand what more they're looking for. I'm wondering if this happens to you again, whether you can stand your ground with the CO, and as politely as possible, respectively request the specific reasons why the CO believes you don't have a bonafide relationship. Can you request to speak to the CO's supervisor before leaving the window? It's incredibly cruel of a CO to send you away without some sort of justification for their decision other than personal opinion. How could they make that determination in such a brief interview? Did you frontload your petition? Based on the questions you were asked,it sounds like the CO made up their mind before the interview. Is that possible, and how & why? Should future petitioners withhold evidence just so they have more to submit for the second interview? Do the CO's even Consider the costs & time off of work required to attend these interviews? I'm beginning this process so all I have is questions as well. Keep your head up, and I hope all your issues are resolved on your second interview.

Aybee I would recommend you take updated emails, and phone records so they can see your relationship is still current. If you have money exchanges send that too . My husband was placed on AP in aug 2013. I wrote my congressmen in November my husband has another interview January 3,2014. He took his physical in June, and now we have to get a new police report ,and physical another expense, but I pray this is it.
