Usually my case would be updated after 5-6pm Afghanistan time but in recent days it has been updating right when the embassy opens daily around 9am. Is that a good thing? Im heading into my 7th month in AP. I dont know what is taking so long, if they were to deny my case they would have done so right away but It is still pending. Usually they take long time on the male visas but i am a female and have been waiting for so long.

If your status is being updated, its a good sign. It means they are reviewing it. But administrative Processing is a horrible long process that needs patience and you need to be hopeful. You need to wait and be patient because they wont ever tell you why you are on AP. But since you have a CEAC website you can check your status online, and its good that you receive updates. They WILL contact you for sure once its over trust me! Just be patient!

I would say that it is a good sign. It means that they are working on your case. Just keep checking your status at CEAC. With that being said, each case is different. My fiancé has been in AP for 16 months, and I have not seen him in 3 years. We have been through many ups and downs with our case. Saying our visa was issued, then it wasn't issued. His passport was dropped off a month ago at the embassy to get his visa, finally. Few days ago they contacted us to update medical and then to bring passport back, again! When he went to get the passport so that he could take it to medical, the Embassy said they had lost it! After many people searched and hours passed, they finally found it. They must not be very organized! My fiancé met other men who said they were in AP for 4 months, 8 Months, 3 weeks. So, honestly, nobody can really say when you will get visa. I have heard that girls get their visa's fairly quickly, but that may not always be the case. Just be very strong and patient. I know that is easier said then done, but I would not take too much comfort in what people say on here, because things are always changing at the Embassy in Kabul. Good luck to you my dear. <3

My husband's case has been in AP for 19 months and we recently have begun to see updates more frequently. Hopefully that is a good sign for us and you. Also to note, if you notice the updates are occuring after the time the embassy should be closed it could indicate your case is in AP in at the state department. My husband's case was there for a while and I never knew until they told me 3 months ago that it had returned to Italy. My husband was born in the Middle East in a T-country and as you are applying form Afghanistan I would assume it may be undergoing the same kind of processing. I wish you the best of luck

It is a good sign, or atleast you can hope its a good sign. Everyone here says that. "Working on the case" is usually what i've read.

My status updates like after every two or three days. I dont know when they will issue but it is frustrating, especially when people are waiting for years. Lets wait, hope and pray it turns out good for everyone.
