I think it means you don't need to be there, but you can be if you'd like to be. Some embassies don't let *anyone* in with the person being interviewed, others expect them to be there. Sounds like Mexico doesn't care.

My other important question is do I need to be present at her interview?

Hi!! In Ciudad Juarez, the entry of the spouse is not allowed, but in my case I wanted to be with my husband if I was asked to be present. Obviously I did not go to the consulate, but I was in the hotel...

Dishman you should definitely get the process going and do your research there is a wealth of information on here that can help you. Additionally, it is true that the guidelines for military is a bit different. For sure you have a bit of an upper hand on the rest of us being in the military. From personal experience I have seen military applications moved along faster than normal. Wish I was still in the military doing this process. Definitely see what assistance you can get from your command on this. Good luck.

First in all due respect Sir, you need to be calm. Nothing Bizarre or weird about you case. The sole purpose of the Visa Interview is to show you are in a bonafide relationship. You have that evidence you are fine. Read around and you will see people who submitted chats, IM's, emails, leters cards, Skype, pics with family and friends.

The number one evidence is facetime together. And you seem eto have that more than covered. Have you meet her family and friends or hers yours? That speaks volumes. Or have you talked online with them or them to yours?

Medicals all that is months down the rode after you are schedule interview.

Order of events:

  1. First you will go through USCIS the wait lord maybe 6 to 12 months (yes seriously).
  2. After approval you go tot NVC where more documents are needed. Your Affidavit of supoort and her documents submitted once accepted by NVC you have case complete and you wait in queue for interview date. Than you wait for that magical day.

So please read the guides stop in on your countries portal read others interview reviews. They are invaluable to see how otheres did what they brought wat CO's like o see tips what to do.

Here I will start you off this your embassy info right from the portal

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Mexico&cty=Juarez

and here's the embassy reviews

http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Mexico

have questions come on back post don't be shy better to ask a million times than assume and mess yourself up.

All is well. All the best. And thank you for your service to keep us safe and strong.

I say file the I-130, but use a PC to study in the Guides Section and the CR-1 forum here.

Toss the handphone for deep research.

There's nothing preventing you from filing this week.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

OP this is the best advice.

All your answers are here if you search and immerse yourself in reading the forum. I am sure that you're not the first one to do this on here.

Good luck and thanks for the service.

If I were you, I woudl file the I130, Wife goes back to Mexico (that's where she's from, she won't die there and is used to living there, it's her home), you come to the USA and wait for the process. You are lucky as she can coem closer to a border town adn you can visit there. You can also set up home near a border town if logistics allow.

Thanks for the service, you have a simple straight forward case. Trust me on this.

Dishman,

If you are servicemember in Europe, go to the local judge advocate office to seek legal assistance. There is a possibility that you can do direct I-130 filing with a USCIS office in Europe based on your overseas assignment.

Hello well this is whats going on, bear with me its complicated...

I am US military stationed in Europe. Around late July 2012 I met my mexican national wife on POF.com haha. We talked up until November where she visted me in that month and stayed till January. She is a divorced single mother. She came back in March and stayed till April and in that time we got married by double proxy. She came back in May and stayed till August. I was able to get leave approved to visit her in Mexico a restricted country and visit her for 3 days in TJ. She is from Durango and we are not allowrd to go there under any circumstances unless she or my stepson were dying or her immidiete family. She and my stepson are her again with me now in December. We have a legitimate relathiomship. I provide for her and my stepson, we have a joint bank account and we stay togeyher as often as possible under European laws and when I can take leave. Im leaving in May and so am looking at doing my wife's immigration paperwork but im so confused. Obviously we cant live together for longer than 3 months because its illegal and she cant go to the United States with me.

I dont know what to do. I want to do the I-130s for them but it seems as though living together all the time is a requirement. That is impossible due to laws and now even viisiting is impossible because I cant go to Durango or Mexico easily becsuse that country is restricted to us and she cant come to me in the US. What should I do? What type of process am I looking at for my family? How can I be successful in immigrating them to the United States as fast as possible. She does not leave Europe until March and we are trying to do all the paperwork we can together and then I leave in May for the US. Help me please!

Ain't bizarre, ain't complicated. Just read the guides...
