1. My husband (USC) just graduated from university this summer and started working this December. He doesn't have tax returns. But his job makes over $30,000 annually. Do we need to have a co sponsor or his employment letter and this month's pay stub would be sufficient?

2. If we need a co sponsor. My aunt (USC) said she could be my co sponsor. The only problem is she's married, she filed joint tax return with her husband. But her husband doesn't want to disclose their tax return information. My aunt said she could give me her individual W-2 forms. Can I use her W-2 forms instead of her and her husband's joint tax return?

1) If he has a good reason for not having tax returns (ie, was not required to file), I think you would be fine with this, you would include a statement of why he did not need to file returns, and then Dec pay stubs and an employment letter. Just having started working might or might not be an issue for the IO, but in any case it will be a subjective component, you would be providing all the objective requirements. Worst case scenario, they send you an RFE requesting for a joint sponsor.

2) The joint sponsor (it's not co-sponsor, co-sponsor is something different) has to provide the same things as the main sponsor (remember that your husband will be your main sponsor and needs to provide his info, including tax info -or explanation of why he does not have to file-, regardless of getting a joint sponsor or not). So you would need at least the tax return the aunt filed, and her w2's and other forms (you would not need your aunt's husband w2's though, unless your aunt's income is not enough for a household of x with x = you + the aunt + the husbands aunt + other dependents your aunt has).

Since he just started working,

he's missing 'enough' current annual income.

How far along are you with the process ?
