Interview done at Riyadh Saudi Arabia

Hi just want to share my interview experance at US Embassy Riyadh KSA my interview was at 1.30 i was called at like 2 pm and the lady ask me for forms and other docemnets i gave her one by one and while looking at my papers she was asking me question about our relationship and then she asked me for pictures and i gave her like 100 pictures and she looked at each of then and just asked who was in the pictures and then she told me to wait till my name called then like after 30 min i was called again on another window there laday took my finger prints and and said all fine they were scaned by computer and then the lady started the interview and ask many question about me and my fiancee and i answered her all she even asked abot what kind of job i have and how much income they never asked any corpondance (emails chat latter phone bills) nothing just she also saw the pictures in the end she said all paper work is fine but she wantes two things from me and gave me a latter 221g stating that they need my bank account statment andmy collage certificate.... she said get them and send back by fedex with orginal pasport.... before leaving i asked her what to tell my fiancee she said tell her it will take time like 2 weeks so i am little confused about that they will issuee me visa after i send them required docements and my orginal passport or what ????????

It is a good sign when they ask you for your passport. They need it so they can put the visa in it!!!

Sounds like a successful interview. You may have to wait for security checks, but the fact that they took your passport means they are planning to issue the visa as soon as everything is complete!

If they asked for your passport then you most likely are getting the visa. From your post it sounds positive! Good luck!

On a side note I think I am weird 'cause whenever someone types one wicked long sentence like that I don't stop to breathe. Why does my mind automatically say it's ok to breath when there's a period but not when there isn't?

Didn't Ammar say that they gave his passport back to him and that once he collected the paperwork they were asking for then the passport and the paperwork back to them by Fed Ex? My question is why did they give Ammar back his passport instead of keeping it?

Same i am confused about why she returened passport but the lady inteviewed me i told her i will send her all on saturday as i have all the docoments already and then i asked her what to tell my fiancee she said tell her it will take time like 2 week. so all this confusing.....

It is probably because they do not know how long you will take to respond back with the request for additional evidence and they do not want to hang onto the passport for an unknown period of time.

They went through all his paperwork like you describe, then they took his fingerprints and his passport, and said he could pick it up or receive it by Fedex. It has been three weeks, and we are wondering how long it might take for them to send the visa (we emailed them to ask, and they said to wait another 2-3 weeks for more "administrative review").

I was wondering how long it eventually took you to get your visa (I know it was awhile ago, but any info. would be appreciated). Or if anyone else had or is having a similar experience.

It's not unusual (especially for Middle East/North Africa consulates, Pakistan, Iran -- as well as some other countries including some in South America and the Caribbean) to have a wait after the interview for name/security checks. This can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to several months or more. We have had some members who waited/are still waiting more than 1 year, but this is rather unusual. I have to tell you -- waits of several months are not uncommon. Unfortunately, there's really no way to speed them up.

In the meantime, please join us in the Middle East/North Africa forum on this site (look in the Regional Forums) -- we have many members in the same situation, waiting for their name/security checks to finish.

I assume the OP is the beneficiary... but why did the CO ask for her bank statement and college certificates? I have never heard of that one before? Hmm... confused.
