No text message from uscis

Hello visa journeyers

I signed up to receive text messages and emails from uscis and when I sent my petition to uscis in May 2013 I did get a message form them stating they did get my petition and also provided me with the case# in the text message. On December 5th my case was transferred to a local office but I did not get any text message or email from uscis. I have not gotten the letter in the mail either. Has this happen to anyone else????

I received a case number of my petition in May 2013 and they transferred my case to a local office last week as well. However I did receive an email notification and they said the letter is in the mail.

How many days did it take for you to receive the letter from USCIS from the date they stated from the mail? Our RFE was sent last Dec 4, 2013 stated on the message from our USCIS message box. but until now we haven't received it. sad.png

2014-07- 21 - Status updated still AP 2014-07- 23 - My husband went to the house of Senate and they attended to him right away.

2014-07- 24 - The asst. at the senate responded immediately and contacted the USEM.

2014-07- 28 - Status updated still AP (received an email from the USEM, 1. Applicant, your case is ready to be issued, but your passport #********** needs to be cancelled first & returned to our office at your earliest convenience. Please contact visasbkki@state.gov to pick up your old passport to complete this step.)

2014-07- 28 - Cancelled my old passport and sent them to the USEM.

2014-07- 30 - The embassy received my 2 passports (old and new) 2014-07- 31 - Status updated still AP (Maybe scanned my mail)

2014-08- 13 - Status updated still "READY" I sent them an email re the ready status. Aug. 11 & 12 National holiday USEM closed.

2014-08- 14 - Status updated still "READY" I received an email from the USEM,We have received your said documents. Please be informed that your visa has now been approved. We are working with the preparation of your visa package and will mail it to the applicant address on GSS profile which takes approximately 7-10 days. Applicant should refrain from making any irrevocable travel arrangements until he/she receives.<p>

Hi,

It changed on December 05, 2013 and today (December 09, 2013) I received the letter so 4days. I say wait two-three days and if does not show up in the mail than try calling uscis. Good luck.

Hey I am not sure but maybe you have the same case as me. The form you send with the application, is one time only, for notice of receiving it. After that you have to go onto the USCIS website and sign up for the e-notification. I had the same problem, I didn't get a text when it as transferred (the first message) but got the next ones once I made an account and changed the settings. Good Luck!

Well, I never got a text message or e-mail from USCIS, and I was worried but then I checked my mail and I found the hardcopy of the NOA1 with the receipt number, then I go online to check my case status with that number. Dont worry about notices on your e-mail or via text message, just go online with your receipt number ;)

Well, I never got a text message or e-mail from USCIS, and I was worried but then I checked my mail and I found the hardcopy of the NOA1 with the receipt number, then I go online to check my case status with that number. Dont worry about notices on your e-mail or via text message, just go online with your receipt number ;)
