After 1 and 1/3 year waiting our greencards arrived and my son's had a mistake. IT was marked "F" for his gender.

AFter contacting USCIS we were told to fill out some form and send it along with the Grenncard.

The packet was delivered on the 10th of october in Vermont. So far NO NOA or anything from the USCIS attesting that they have received it.

As I have no REf. number, I cannot call them or consult the status of the case over the web.

What to do in a case like this? Stupid USCIS lost my sons' greencard over some pile of papers somewhere in the building.

Freaking service from uscis. The worst I have ever received.

Do you not have an email addy for Vermont? Try looking at the USCIS website, surely there *has* to be some type of information or telephone number you can try. You can tell them you know the packet was received on 10 Oct. Did you have signature confirmation? Maybe that might help. Besides, you know how s-l-o-w the USCIS can be. Hope you find something out soon.

I had the same problem... I sent my I-90 and never heard anything back to say they had got it... I ended up making a infopass appointment and getting the local office to check... they were able to tell me it had got to them and I was going to be getting called for biometrics soon... I got the appointment for biometrics 2 weeks later and then 9 weeks after that I got the Greencard in the mail...

Kez and Alex,

Not all types of case are fed into the system that supports the Online Status feature. Perhaps I-90 is one of those that does not.

Yodrak I know I-90's can not be checked on-line... but a NOA would be a good thing to get... it would seam that they do not always issue a NOA on reciept of the I-90.... that is why I made an infopass appointment as I had no way of knowing if they had got it or not....

Kez,

Yes, it would be a good thing, especially in the eyes of people who have become accustomed to the NOAs from the petition and adjustment processes. Unfortunately, USCIS continues to suffer from different software systems for different case types, and not all case types use the NOA.

As USCIS says on its' web site, "The ability to track case processing is only available to customers whose cases have a receipt number. We manage other cases based on your account number, which is often called an A-number. These start with an "A", followed by an eight or nine digit number. For these cases, you can monitor processin time for the type of case, but you cannot track the processing of your particular case."

Not quite the same situation (since Chris lost his GC) but when we e-filed the I-90 for the replacement we did receive an NOA with an MSC Case Number which was followed by his bios appointment NOA shortly after.

Sorry you're having so much trouble and hope you get it sorted out soon. I am so looking forward to the day when we don't have to deal with USCIS any more and I know you must be feeling that way even more so!!!
