Go to the NVC filers thread while you are waiting on your petition to arrive. Read post #1 and #2. There is much to learn and do and stay on this thread. NVC has changed alot in the last 3 months. Congrtaulations.

you are PR ?

Not a USCitizen?

Check the visa bulletin, see when your wife's application might become current, based on the priority date,

then a month after her case is current, check in with NVC and see what's what.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

ah - ok - disregard what I wrote, then.

Alas, turn-around into NVC from USCIS varies by USCIS location. Some places are lightening-fast, others are taking 3 months.

It's like real-estate: location, location, location ! If you want to get ####### about this, call into USCIS National Call Center in about 3 weeks, get an ISO, a Tier 2 Human, and inquire for the date the casefile left the loading dock (this is an internal scannable-event, an ISO can see it)
