that's perfectly understandable. we all waited patiently for that day (interview) to arrive and all the hard work and patience will lead up to this one very important day and of course you just want everything to be perfect. good luck on your interview! let us know how it goes

If you think about it, your putting your future on the line, and in someone else's hands, that is very daunting to say the least.

Here you are standing before the Filipino CO and you are confessing your character and then you are off to the US CO and do the same. Your hoping and praying that they see it your way and approve your application request for a piece of paper that represents so much to so many. It's a privilege to join the ranks of the other's who have immigrated before you.

My Great-Great Grandfather immigrated to America from Norway in 1890 and to think how that changed his life and the generation of lives of family who came after him.

To all of us, I wish for luck and God's speed to your rightful place.

You're welcome, sis! and I seriously hope you won't settle for a formal wear (as in a formal gown. wink.png ) Take a breather and relax! The interview preparation was a pressure-filled and stressful experience to everyone of us here as well. But we all know we have to go through that, right? Trust it will go smoothly since you've been preparing for it and making sure you cover all the bases. God bless and keep smiling! smile.png

Sweet Cakes - Good recommendations. You reference to wearing the smile was spot on. biggrin.png Also, when in front of the CO be confident with your answers. Show your enthusiasm to be with your fiancée.

BTW Sweet Cakes. I lived near Basking Ridge..... ohh what a beautiful area you will be living in. Rolling hills, lots of trees and many horse farms. Good luck

Ohhh yes, Greenbaum! I'm here now, we're at Spring Ridge. Everything is perfect, until those rolling hills and trees are now covered with snow. lol. laughing.gif Kidding aside, Yes, it's really beautiful here! innocent.gif

It doesn't matter what you wear to the interview -- they don't care! ... They can only see you from the neck or shoulders down at the window.

I'm so jelly. The whole time, I really wished my fiance was there with me. You are lucky to be able to share the experience with him good.gif

My fiance wore slacks, nice blouse, and flats. I wore a frilly shirt and short skirt, and we were approved just fine.

Oh wait, I didn't attend the interview, that's just what I wear around the house. Never mind, forget I said anything!

Butthead! laughing.gif

This cold spell getting down your way?

It's cooled off some, and some folks are blaming ME for bring the chill down with me.

I think it's comical, all the peeps around here wearing jackets and shivering. I wore shorts and a t-shirt last weekend, and folks thot I was nutz. I tell them this is prime BBQ weather where I come from.
