Hello everyone,

I sent in I-130 for my wife to Chicago via UPS today, ended up doing a Next Day Air so I know they will have it sometime before noon tomorrow. Now I guess its time to wait and see when the first NOA comes in. Fingers Crossed and hoping it will be soon. smile.png

We got our email NOA1 today we checked our status on line and they started initial review on Dec 31st! still waiting for hard copy, they said we should have it 7 working days from the 31st so hopefully soon. And we are being processed at Texas service center. :)

What's going on?

I mailed out my package on 12/11 and it arrived 12/12 USPS shows Mr. Arthur signed it off and I got a text saying my file is going to Nebraska Service Center and I should receive a hard-copy soon. And its Jan 3rd and no hard-copy has arrived yet. There many people who got it within few days and filed few days before/after me, I'm getting nervous and upset over this. :(

Ok, but you got the email with the information in it, right? I would wait until 30 days after they got it to start calling and asking for a duplicate because you didn't get a hard copy.

Don't get nervous and upset yet. :) Even if you don't get the hard copy, you know where your file is going, and you have your information, right? That means you can track your case. (For what little good that is. I can't even tell you how much I hated that friggin' Initial Review message. And then the stupid Transfer message.) Good luck! I hope that your processing time is much improved the earlier 2013 filers!

My husband applied for an expedite the other day and today we got an email saying "Your case is now under expedited review."

I'm guessing our expedite was approved? Will we receive a hard copy for that as well? My husband has been harassing his local USPS for the hard copy of our NOA1 lol We received the email 12/19 and until now no letter.

AdnanS just like california_luv, Kaylara said - hard copy is not a big deal. you have your number, sign up for further updates, that is all you need for now.

I'd call in 30days for a duplicate, just to make sure they have your correct address in database in case of any RFE's which of course I don't wish you to get.

But hey! no worries, all we need is patient now - there is few months of waiting for noa2 in front of us.
