Congratulations!

It seems NSC's gradually moving

I'm curious to know if they actually work on the weekends secretly at these service centers since they're dealing with so many cases. I wonder if people out there have gotten approved over weekends or not. Oh well, the waiting just kills me! :(

They are working hard , just not on i-130 petitions. In September 2014 the initial grants of DACA are due to expire , and they are told to start submitting their forms for renewal 120 days before it expires which corresponds with June 2014. Is it a coincidence that approvals for December filers have just trailed off this month, i think not. DACA filers were given priority then and it seems like once again they are being given priority over US citizens.

You are spot on my dear. They are focusing DACA and all these delays are due to that **** thing. I desire whoever (and you know who) is backing up DACA and hence prioritizing it over US Citizens will not get power next time. Sure the gonna lose the election next time.

are daca filers processed at all service centers, or just a few?

after they hear back from USCIS, do they then move onwards to the NVC too?

my logical self wants to make sense of this entire process, the more reading I do, the more I become frustrated.

I'm cheering for all of you December filers.....keeping my fingers crossed that you're all approved by the end of this week....its time!!!

How do I get a copy of my household registry that reflects my entry into marriage? Does anyone know what banks USCIS recognizes as a legitimate bank for my hubby and I to have a joint bank account with? I was thinking wells Fargo.. Any suggestions?

I added my husband to my Wells Fargo account, and didn't have any issues on my I-130 from USCIS. I am not sure where your spouse is residing, but my husband still lives in Peru and it was quite the process at Wells Fargo to add him without him being physically present. I was eventually able to do it, but they pushed back every step of the way.

Wow! I was just talking to my wife about this just 5 minutes ago! I'm also with Wells Fargo, but she lives in DR, and I wasn't sure if I'm able to add her to my accounts. How can I do it if you don't mind sharing?

The details are a little fuzzy, but I'll tell you what I remember. I called the Wells Fargo general number first and explained the situation. They said I could add him; I just had to go to my local branch. I went to the branch and explained to them and the gave me a packet that you have to fill out. Then when I told them my husband couldn't be present to sign, they said it was impossible. I told them the person on the phone said it was and I insisted. I waited for about 35 minutes while they called. Finally they let me do it, but I had to get a copy of his passport certified by the issuing agency and he had to sign the documents and have it stamped by the US embassy in Lima. When I brought all these things, they tried to tell me again that they couldn't accept it. I didn't take no for answer, and voila, they added him to my account! I am not sure if this made a difference in our case, but as I mentioned I didn't get any checklists for our I-130. Although I know of other people who weren't able to add their spouse to their banking account, and they still had no problem with USCIS. So give it a try, and be adamant, but if it doesn't work out, it isn't the end of the world :)

Sorry to be boring, but another note. This year I was able to claim my husband as a dependent on my taxes because he earned no income in the US. BUT interest earned on a joint checking account counts as income earned in the US. If he had earned over $1 on our bank account (starting from the day it became joint) I would not have been able to claim him as a dependent. Just remember to check when you do your taxes next year!

Hi Megwin,

logically, adding your spouse to your BA shouldn't matter because he/she is not living physically here in America. However, filling tax return jointly matters the most. I filled my 2013 as single because my wife didn't and still doesnt have SSN. Fortunately, I-130 is still not approved and i still have the time to amend it( just did yesterday)

Hi Guys,

Like Nanana said..a lot of silent approvals last week! Congrats guys!

Good luck for those still waiting hope you will get these approvals soon!

From my end, USCIS update our case to RFE on 06/24/14 and we received the hard copy yesterday... They are asking for a certified copy of marriage certificate (which we've already sent in our initial package...)

We asked for it at the city hall and waiting for it to be delivered by mail.

However, I was wondering if we should send them in addition of that a proof of bona fide marriage in our RFE's reply with a cover page stating what's in the package?

To make it clear, we didn't send any proof of bonafide marriage with our I-130 Package because we didn't know we should do it at this stage. I should have done my homeworks and read the great article on VJ about the I-130 Package :ranting:

Also, should we use the enveloppe they sent us to reply or use our own enveloppe?

Thank you in advance for your responses!

i got email from uscis > On July 1, 2014, we received your response to our request for evidence .

how long it may take guys? any idea ? its been 7 month already since my NOA1

Well I think if you can add them its a good thing, just as proof of financial intermingling, and i was able to add my husband even though he doesn't live here. But you're absolutely right, it doesn't exclude you if you don't do it. Good luck with the amendment!
