Dec 2013 I-130 filers

Hi everybody, I also received the good news just now! PD december 17. I am so happy...

We did fill I-129F in february, just in case. Alien number changed right after they received I-129F, on february 5th, but nothing after that...until today!!

I hope all of you will be approved very soon!

guys i got my RFE hard copy. .they wanna know why i dont have my last name in my birth certificate. (note:i dont have last name.) but really dont have last name. i have only one name. same in birth certificate. school college every where i have only one name.

plzz help me. how & what should i do now.what kind of evidence can i give to them ?

Just like waltee said, explain in detail the situation and send copies of all official supporting documents you have like passport, ID card, school, other govt documents.... I would even go as far as it your birth certificate was issued in another country contact the embassy and have an official document showing that you don't have a last name (reason why), really anything you can show as evidence. I don't know if there is anyone else who have dealt with the same situation you are so I hope they are able to accept the explanation you give them and approve your case. Good luck!

So my I-130 was approved on May 29 so I called Monday and today to see if it had been received. Monday they said give them 5 weeks to receive from USCIS, today they said 8 weeks!!! Seriously? Has anyone else heard that?

It took me a long time to even get through....about 30 repeats and I waited about 30 minutes.

I understand that they are busy, but GEEEEEE!

Trying to be patient...

Heavy prayer going up for December and beyond filers. I am praying that approvals come for you guys soon. You guys deserve it! I feel your pain...and sorry.

I called again tonight just to see if I would get a different answer than the allow 8 weeks and they told me it arrived today!

I received my rfe hardcopy. We sent an original marriage certificate which was issued in English with clearly stating that the marriage is registered at xyz place under xyz law and it also has seal of the marriage registar on it.

Even after sending this with other documents first time, we got request for initial evidence :

It says you did not submit the marriage certificate , please comply with following

Marriage certificate ( written in bold)

Submit the marriage certificate of Saumil (me) and my wife's name. An appropriate civil authority should issue the marriage certificate. In order for marriage to be considered valid for immigration purposes, it must have been registered with a civil authority from the location where the marriage took place. The document must contain seal of the issuing office including date of the registration and signature of the registrar.

If you submit a document in any language other than English, you must include a full English translation ( I BELIEVE WE DON'T NEED TO GET CERTIFICATE TRANSLATED IN OUR REGIONAL LANGUAGE, SINCE OUR CERT. WAS ISSUED IN ENGLISH, please confirm this ).

So what should i do now? We did submit an original certificate with seal,signature on it along with location and other things written in it.

Hello ,

well, there could be at least two reasons for the RFE. 1) They lost your cert or 2) they just wanna have at least a copy of it also in your native language. Which to me wouldn´t make any sense. When we got married, With our petition we sent an international marriage certificate, which is written in 3 languages, german, english and french.

I also had to submit my divorce decree which i had to get translated into english, but along with the translated one i mailed a copy of the original decree in german.

I would recommend you to just send it in again.
