You guys will not get transferred cause your files are going/went to the service centers directly from the Lockbox.

So it's Lockbox-> Service Center

That's the way it used to be up until August 2012 when USCIS started sending them: Lockbox-> NBC-> local office (that was a disaster)

All the transfers you're seeing do not apply to you. They apply only to people whose cases were sent to NBC and have been collecting dust for many, many months.

Petitions filed after end of Octoberish are being sent directly to: California Service Center, Nebraska Service Center, Texas Service Center and Vermont Service Center.

Btw, there are two NBCs (National Benefits Centers). One in Lee's Summit, MO (that's the backlogged one), and one in Overland Park, KS (that's the one everyone has been waiting to become fully operational. Never happened).

I see, so since my NOA1 receipt starts with LIN (for Nebraska) I'm going to be sent directly there; how one knows they might be routed through NBC? I guess I have to wait for my NOA1 hard-copy; to make double sure.

But I have to say were lucky not many people are December filers hopefully we get pushed fast, I guess its due to holidays people are spending time with families and might mass file in Jan-Mar?

Petitions are no longer sent to NBC. USCIS stopped sending them there at the end of October.

Ok. Is it a good place to be right now? How long can I expect for Approval of I-130?

Ah, that's a million dollar question.

There are about 500,000 petitions that are still waiting to be approved. Petitions of those who filed months and months ago.

I'd say 6-10 months? If it happens sooner.. then you'll be pleasantly surprised

However, processing times change all the time. Right now they are horrendous, but this might change. Or not.

One day after we received our hardcopy, just says initial review so far, but I guess it wont change much until a decision is made :/

sent paperwork off in November, got email waiting for hardcopy so looks like we are dec filers too, has been way past 7-10 days they said would take for hard copy but doesn't worry us as check has been cashed LOL

We sent our petition from overseas around thanksgiving and were routed to the nebraska service center. I believe we got our NOA1 on Dec 5th. We have been living overseas since we got married 7 years ago, with 3 kids, all citizens one of which was born in the US. I am hoping for a quick approval, we need to leave by May.

I hate to tell you, but that's probably not going to happen. I hope that I'm wrong and that they process you quickly because you are overseas. But you're in Saudi Arabia, and that means that you're probably going to have to go through AP even after you're done dealing with the USCIS. That can take a ridiculous amount of time.

You and the kids will have no problem. But your spouses will probably have to wait there for the visa process to be completed.

so processing times have change to 8,7 months - sweet - there is a tiny chance to be with our spouses for next Christmas.

I hope it will get better and they will achieve national goal asap.

One can dream, girl... Remember there will be additional 5-7 months for the NVC stage+ interview....

But- miracles do happen, so let's not lose hope!
