Faisal good news for you - NVC has REALLY sped up with their processing recently. I just heard they are aiming to move their processing times down from 30 days to 25 so fingers crossed you will have a CC by the middle of May! I sure hope so for you!!

My advice - about 25 days from your scan date, start calling NVC to find out if you've got a CC. (Also of course you can check your visa status on the CEAC website.) If everything goes according to plan, you will get your CC. But if there is any problem and you get a checklist you can find out about it and hopefully deal with it quickly. I waited to hear from NVC after I sent my paperwork in, and that probably cost us two weeks of time because we had a checklist. Hopefully that won't be an issue for you!

Good luck! :-)

Oh, PS: Hubby's interview was scheduled today! June 3!!! HOORAY HOORAY HOORAY!!!

Congrats on the case complete! You're a month behind me!

We got our CC on April 23 or 24 and had the interview scheduled a few days later - the interview is next week (June 3). It depends on how busy your embassy is, really. See if you can find the 'case complete to interview' thread.

Hey faisal.sal, Mellylamelle and Mark&GinaW, I am happy to see you guys are nearing the end of this process.

Mark&GinaW:

You will probably need a new Affidavit of Support package for your interview. Mine took place on April 15 which was tax return deadline and I came with an updated AOS package showing 2014 revenue etc ... just in case. The consular officer however did not take them as she told me what she already had was enough. For a June interview though I suspect they will ask for the an updated AOS package.

We are required to provide original civil docs or certified copies at the interview (issued from the civil institution who delivered the original documents, not a notarized certified copy). Unless different for China, the NVC only require copies, why did you have to send your originals?

Good luck to you all, keep us posted!

Got our Case Complete on 3.12, priority date on 12.27.'13. Gonna wait another 4-6 months just for medical&interview, how ######-up is this?!

Eh - it depends.

What's it depend on, you ask?

EP !

Did you enroll and use the optional Electronic Processing at NVC for GUZ? If no, then, ya, sorry, another 4 to 6 months to await the interview, as GUZ IV sets it, not NVC, for a paper-casefile with paper-intake at NVC. How to tell? You have casefile # that starts with GUZ, that's a paper casefile.

GZO designation is for EP casefiles. Enrollment is optional.

Hope things have moved along for you !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Congratulations on your approval ! We All Applaud your accomplishment with Most Wonderful Kissies !
