Hi faisal,

Not to worry. They used to take 42 days to review the DS261; once reviewed, the IV fee becomes available for payment. I am not sure if the waiting time is current, though. That said, you can call NVC and politely ask the operator to review the DS261 over the phone; they will confirm the emails and contact information given on the form and tell you the IV fee should be activated in one or two days. The NVC will send you an email with the invoice.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.

Big congrats, TJandKC!

May your last days in Norway are a fun farewell.

Hi guys!

Just wanted to let you know I had my interview in Stockholm today and it got approved right away and went very well :)

Cant believe we all started this together over 1 year ago and now we are all almost done with it.

Best of luck to everyone for the rest of the journey.

I made a review of the interview/embassy (its under Norway, even though I had it in Sweden)

Ditto....you gotta call nvc to unlock iv fee otherwise you will wait forever!!!

after they unlock it, iv fee will become available to pay in 2-3 days. pay it, then wait 2-3 days more for it to show paid, then you can complete the ds260. btw, these are business days, not calendar days.

sometimes it takes a kazillion tries to get through...other times you can get through on your third try. perseverance is the key...it.will come to those who try. i cannot give a best time to call as I have called early, mid and late in the day and have luck but only with excessive redial....if you want it, you gotta do it!!!

  • 4 weeks later...

A quick question , can i send documents to NVC without Police report. Because police report take about 2 weeks :(

you can but if its just 2 weeks best to wait.

if you do decide, be sure to reference its delay in your cover letter.

faisal, if you haven't been reading the forum and thread lately, its about 30-35 from scan date to case complete these days. that 60 day wait is gone. nvc is pushing out cc's for those who have been sending docs in by mail. EP is another story...still 60-70 days.

you just might have your case complete prior to my approval....i ep'd and my scan date is mid feb.

good luck my friend and sail past me...you've been waiting longer for this!!!

happy day :) to and you loved ones!!!
