You guys will not get transferred cause your files are going/went to the service centers directly from the Lockbox. So it's Lockbox-> Service Center That's the way it used to be up until August 2

Hey Nanana,

I submitted ds260 yesterday. now waiting for case complete . what about you?

NVC received our AOS and IV docs on nov 17th and then sent us an email on 20th nov saying they ll take 60 days and they have increased workload. does that mean our docs are scanned?

did anyone here finished ds260? form asks for employment history of 10 years with supervisor's name in each job. I dont think it will help our case if they contact supervisor at one of my past job. Do they conduct background check regarding employment history?

Regarding your question about background check of applicant's employment history - I doubt they do it. Maybe only when something is questionable or there are some murky factors in the whole case. I wouldn't be worried about it.. but who knows for sure what they do :P

I recommend to read Saylin's nvc wiki and instructions from nvc website. 5 times.

Yes, i contacted them but didn't help. i called again and finally they said we will send a service request you will receive a mail with in 2 weeks.

Lets see what comes up.

03/24/15: Case Transferred from VSC to CSC

03/28/15: Hard copy of transfer received in mail

07/02/15: NOA2 ( I-130 Approved) - finally after long wait.

07/13/15: NOA2 (I-130 Approved letter hard copy)

Case was sent on 09 December to NVC. But still did not hear back from NVC.

How many days they will receive the case and assign number ?

my case was sent to NVC on Oct 31 they received it on Nov 18 ( I called to get that information, but they will tell you to wait 42 days for case#) called on Monday Dec 15 and was given our case#, invoice#, and Benf#. Was able to signed in and did choice of agent and finally today Dec 18th recvd email from NVC. Good Luck on your journey!!!!

Faisal - just keep calling them. I called about 2x a week till we got our case received, then continued that till we got our case number. It took about a month weeks from case received to case number for us. Good luck!
