Got response from NSCFollowup.NCSC@uscis.dhs.gov

USCIS electronic records confirm that your case is pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration petitions, applications, and requests in a timely manner; however, some cases have unresolved background check issues that delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check process will be completed in your case.

If you have not received a USCIS decision or other notice of action regarding your case within approximately 90 days from the date of this E-mail message, you may send us another inquiry regarding the adjudication of your Form I-130.

So I sent an e-mail NSCFollowup, I got this automatic email, I don’t really understanding what this mean, if someone can explain to me that would be great. Thank you!

This automatic response confirms receipt of your email inquiry or message. You should have first tried to resolve your case issue through the Service Request Management Tool process.

IF YOU DID NOT INCLUDE AN SRMT NUMBER IN YOUR EMAIL, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY FURTHER RESPONSE.

You may go online to http://uscis.gov and choose the “TOOLS” tab. From there you may check the status of your case or submit a SRMT to resolve many issues. Or, you may contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283 to submit a SRMT. If, after submitting an SRMT, your issue is not resolved within 30 days you may contact us again and include your original email (including attachments) and SRMT number. The NSC Follow-up staff will then try to resolve your issue.

We do not provide immigration advice.

This email address should only be used for issues on cases located at the Nebraska Service Center.

You should had attached the service request reference number (if you filed the service request) in that email....If you did not file service request first file it and then wait for reply for 30 days. It is a step by step system...

You need to email again with your service request number stating that after filing service request even after 30 days your issue is not resolved.

Hi guys,

I got this e-mail from NSCFollowup this morning. What should do I this point?

USCIS records confirm that your case is pending at this time. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration cases in a timely and efficient manner while also ensuring public safety, national security and compliance with all relevant directives. While the processing steps for most requests are completed quickly, a small percentage of cases involve unresolved issues that may result in adjudication delays. For example, if our review reveals an issue that may impact an individual’s eligibility, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency or USCIS office for updates or more comprehensive information.

We are unable to determine at this time when the review process will be completed. USCIS will issue a decision once certain issues are resolved. We are striving to resolve these issues as soon as possible. We understand that this may cause some frustration. However, USCIS must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security.
