Nope, not at all.

I do believe everyone in Mass who was paying towards their health insurance before "Romneycare" was put into place either saw a rate hike or a change in plans to a higher deductible to offset the cost of covering everyone, but no one has been left for dead and everyone is now covered. I have no problem with paying a little extra so everyone can benefit from basic healthcare. I figure in the long run it more than pays for itself.

That's not what's happening here. If you think that, you should re-read it and then learn about today's politics and try to apply a non-absolutist point of view to events at large.

I understand that this hatred (which is unnecessary) comes from other people's reactions to your criticisms of the current president. So now in your mind, people are defending him at all costs, almost like the supreme leader. The reason you have this perception, is not because of your dislike of the current president or even because of others "love" for him. Its because your reasons are so outlandish and ridiculous that people are immediately dismissive of you. For example, a normal disapproving comment of the president would go something like this.

"I dislike president Obama because he made a promise to Americans that he did not keep. He told them they could keep their current plan which ended up being untrue."

Here's something like what you would say:

"Looks like the Kenyan is continuing to make this country a communist totalitarian elitist paradise. I guess all that hope and change is really just a big propaganda piece for the Kenyan's war on Capitalism, Jesus, and the American working man."

Now when you say absolutist and hate filled things like that, yes you will get some push back. Even from people that don't really care much about Obama. Mostly just because of the overall outlandishness and inaccuracy of it.

All this Mao talk aside, people have to admit that the government's failure to simply get a website going is not a good sign of things to come. It once again proves that when the Federal govt. gets involved with something other than the military, chances are it will screw it up. I can only imagine how bad it would be if they went to single payer.

Understanding what happened to individuals in China doesn't mean you understand the differences between what happened during the communist revolution in China and what's going on in the US right now. That part is obvious.

If you did you wouldn't be trying to compare communist repression with a workplace dispute. Does it seriously not occur to you that you're trivialising the experiences of people in Mao's China. Why would you do that? Why would anyone do that?

Yeah, single payer isn't possible to handle. That would require a system that can handle milions and million of beneficiaries. Something like Medicare. Oh wait...
