URGENT :

I just found this out.

Per their site :

" Complete and submit your DS-160 after reviewing the nonimmigrant visa application process. You must submit your DS-160 application online prior to making an appointment for an interview at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate."

Questions:

1) Has anyone realized this?

2) Has anyone completed this AFTER scheduling their appointment? Were there any issues during the interview?

History : Bebe and I are right in the middle of the change over from the DS0156 & DS-157 requirements to the DS-160 requirement.

Due to the medical being delayed an additional 60 days because of the spetum culture test, it pushed us over to the DS-160 requirement. I have confirmed with the Philippine Embassy we are required to do the DS-160 only.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

I had the EXACT same freak out the other day -- called the consulate and was told to "await consulate instructions". It was later confirmed by another VJ user (over on the Aussie/NZ board) that you get your payment and interview instructions with your fourth packet.

Could vary country to country, however. <3

09/08/2013: Alien Registration Number Changed

10/15/2013: USCIS reported change of address

10/15/2013: NOA2 Received

Unfortunatly, the Philippines does not really send out packets 3 and 4. So I am not sure what to do in this case. I guess I will need to contact them tomorrow.

There were fiancee's during my interview that filled out the DS160 after appointment was set. Also, the US Embassy website even stated that fiancee's who didn't fill out the DS160 and appears for their interview without it is given a chance to complete and print theirs out before 10am that day and can still be interviewed.

I completed the DS160 after booking my appointment. No problem at all.

my fiancé completed ds-160 online AFTER booking his interview appt, and had no problems at all.. so you'll be fine
yes.gif there won't be any problem as long as you complete ds-160 before going to your interview..
