Adding assets if salary requirements are meet

Hello;

I am applying for AOS for my wife through K1 visa. I meet the poverty salary requirement, but two of the oldest years was just 6,000 past the poverty because of layoff etc. My question is, is there any merit in including some assets, (they say it's optional)? I know they say if you meet the requirements, just skip the assets part?

Also, the step by step guide says that the 1-765, & I-131 are included in the I-485, & biometrics, for $1,070. So then it's for sure that there is not extra

charge for including those two forms, at the time of filing the I-485?

Thanks, for any response.

hi

you are correct in everything

you can add assets if you want to, if you believe it will help

as said, they are optional

If you meet the income requirement, then no need for assets. Those are used to help meet the income requirement. If you want to list them, then you can, but you must provide proof of ownership and the amount of the assets you claim.

Yes, the fees are waived for the I-765 and I-131 when filed with a pending I-485.
