Card/Document Production but did not send in RFE

Hello! I am very confused with our I-485 case. Last month we received notice that they would be sending us a RFE. It turns out that I had forgotten to send a couple of forms (I-864 and I-693). However, this never came in the mail. When I called the hotline, they said it looks like it was a mistake because our status is now in Card/Document Production and the card had been approved. Is this possible? I have since received the RFE but my status still says Card/Document Production. Please help if you have any input!

The EAD can be approved with an RFE, though it is rare. I'd follow up on that RFE or you risk overall denial (which would revoke the EAD too).

5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
