British food. The Brits conquered the world in search of good food.

How does the saying go?

Heaven is...American income, British house, Chinese food and a Ukrainian wife.

Hell is...Ukrainian income, Chinese house, British food and an American wife.

Tinned food?

Come on, even spam can be sucked through a straw, if you have a large enough straw.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

That is amazing.. Why are turkey and potatoes considered the same layer? What is bread sauce? Why is the thickest layer Brussels sprouts? Why do I need another layer of parsnips after eating that thick layer of Brussels sprouts? Why is pudding at the bottom and a pie near the top? How can the pie be layered with eggs and bacon? Why are eggs and bacon being served with Christmas dinner? The questions could go on for days.

I clicked all the links from the original article and tried following them back but there really is no original source - the dailymail did not site any sources.. They did name the designer who did not seem to exist.

Maybe it is too good to be true... Guess I'll have to stick to hungry-man.

A British businessman was on holiday for the first time in the U.S. On a tour of the Farm Belt, he asked a Colonist what was done with all the crops. The answer was, "We eat what we can and what we can't, we can."

The Brit considered this to be hilarious. When he returned to England, he told his friends: "And do you know what the Colonist said to me? He said, 'We eat what we are able and what we cannot eat, we put into tins.'"

Sounds perfectly logical to me.
