Hello my friends,

I am totally lost,

After my fiancée came to USA, and got married last month, I am lost regarding how to file for AOS.

I made $20,000 this year and I do have 2 kids so I know I need a co-sponsor. My friend will do that for me again since he was her co-sponsor for k1.

So do I have to file I-864 and he has to file I-864A? I have no idea what is the different between I-864 and I-864A?

I sow a form example about I-864 in this forum but I couldn’t find the I-864A. Witch one I have to file and witch one my friend needs to file. Please help me.

I really appreciate your help.

You file an I-864 as the Petitioner/Sponsor.

Your friend files his own I-864 as the Joint Sponsor. Only his income will be counted. Your income will not be counted.

Your friend can not file the I-864a as your Household Member because he does not have the requisite family relationship with you.

So, only your friend's income will count.
