FINALLY my I-129F is at VSC.

Is this a normal message after receipt of transfer to VSC or CSC? Just wondering since my I-130 says "received and pending" instead of "review". I know it's kind of the same, but just wondering...

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: This case has been received from the State Department with a request we review it.

On December 19, 2006, our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. Yes it is normal. Your case is still pending because after the transfer it entered the "que".

YMMV

misa,

No, this does not sound at all 'normal' for your situation. This is the message that one would expect if the visa was denied and the consulate sent the approved petition back to USCIS for re-consideration.

But perhaps this is the closest of the available 'canned' responses available to be used, given that the process of transfering I-129f petitions for spouse from NBC to CSC and VSC is a very recent development.

Thanks Yodrak.

I was wondering about that too (it being a "normal" message) because of the wording involved. I guess we'll see if other transferees receive the same message.

Oh, and this was an email message. There may or may not be a notice by snail mail as I just got this notice today and it was dated with yesterday's date.

Nope! The last message before this one (on December 13) was just a notice of transfer. Weird... now I'm slightly worried why mine says "review". Maybe the person chose that canned response instead of the "received and pending" one? I guess we'll wait and see.

Aftab, glad to see yours made it to VSC as well.

Think it's worth calling them to inquire or just wait it out? I might just be a matter of semantics, different canned message with the same intent (case is pending).

My I-130 was approved today but not the I-129F.

Judging from the last few people to get approvals at VSC (and I assume CSC) they usually approve on the same day and I think there were one or two instances where the I-129F was approved the next day or a few days later. I hope that's the case with mine and that mine didn't actually get put into the "back from consular review" pile by accident...
