My stepdaughter who is 14 years old has her interview appointment on January 16 in the city of Juarez. My question is do I have to appear also? I am the petitioner but due to financial difficulties and not being able to get the time off work I don’t think I can make it. My husband her dad is going with her. Is this going to be an issue?

Also, does anyone know what kind of questions will they be asking her?

What hotel is recommended that is close the American Consulate in Juarez.

Maybe they will allow your husband in the interview room because he is the father and because of her age. However likely they will not let him in because he is not the petitioner.

Generally they ask people questions that is found on the papers that was filed by the petitioner. Sometime they just simply ask one or two questions easy questions like mother and father's names and look at some pictures then approves people. I doubt they are going to grill a 14 years old.

I have no answer about hotel.
