hello guys.. i got the IV invoice and paid the IV fee today. has anyone sent the supporting docs through email by scanning everything that's needed?

or did you guys have to mail in the supporting documents?

I mailed through fed ex mine, I thought the scanning is a pain but sure is faster to get to the NVC, but just call the NVC to know what they'd recommend.

thanks.. i checked the "how to submit documents), we are on category C so it says there submit forms and docs through postal service.

did you fill out the online form ds-260? if yes, how many days did it take for you to be able to sign in and fill it out after you've paid for it?

i can't fill out mine yet. i guess its coz i just paid today? i'll wait a few more days til it shows paid then it might let me sign in and fill out ds-260.

while waiting gather info from your mom about her parents name, previous addresses, education background, name of their children or your siblings...as long as you just save the form and don't hit submit button you can edit the form...coz once you submit it its kinda difficult to edit or correct it.

i actually have all the civil docs and all the info that i need to fill out the form. i have yet to be able to fill it out. i am waiting as to when the iv and alien registration form will get active. i just paid it today.

Oh, I didn't even know that, I just thought mailing the documents is easier than scanning. That's good to know.

Yes, I filled the DS-260 online. It took just the next day then it was available to fill in. Just keep checking, it will be available soon.

DS-260 is Immigrant Visa and Registration Application. DS-261 is the Choice of Agent. Yes, once you have your MNL case numbers and Invoice Identification Numbers you can log-in to https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ to fill out forms and fees. I keep calling the NVC to know what's going with my case. You may call NVC at 1(603) 334-0700 .

Please add me to the list. Just emailed NVC today since I haven't heard from them over 30 days. Was gonna call today but unfortunately its a Sunday here so that doesn't help.

Just wanted to update everyone re: my mom's petition.

I filled out and submitted DS-260 yesterday.

I mailed the supporting civil documents today which should arrive at NVC on Friday - (police clearance, nbi clearance, copy of biographic page of mom's passport, two 2x2 pics with name, bday and mnl case written on the back, mom's birth cert, mom's marriage cert, my birth cert, my marriage cert [this is to satisfy my name change], barcoded document coversheet, my own coversheet)

It says on the ceac portal that it takes about 2-4 weeks for the NVC to review the docs upon receipt.

I am definitely hoping for a fast approval and no checklist whatsoever.

hi catedelacruz! i thought police clearnce and nbi clearnce are the same.. i have my dad send his civil docs and will arrive here tomorrow via fedex.. all i know is its the nbi only.. but i might be wtong..did they really ask for police clearance??

police clearance is different from NBI clearance. my mom obtained her from the local precinct nearest her place of residence. when my husband filed my petition we submitted both the police clearance and nbi clearance. and same thing as when i filed my mom's. she sent me both. plus other civil docs.

it was intentionally left blank since it is the same as the mailing address

i guess we had to fill it out too.

just got off the phone with NVC. mom's case was completed March 24, 2014. We should receive an email soon as to when her interview will be.
