Mailed the AoS packet off today.

Working on the translations for the IV packet.

I sent my father's IV civil documents today, so, I guess, it's time to wait for that "Case Complete" , assuming no RFEs .

my mom just filled out the online ds-261 today. i tried to pay the IV fee but its still not letting me. should I wait a few more days? or wait for their invoice to be sent to me?

in the meantime I am going to start working on the AOS forms.

You need the invoice. Once the invoice is ready, the payment option will open.

one last thing... as for the AOS, I am a homemaker, so obviously I am jobless but my military husband is supporting me.

As the petitioner I will fill out the i-864 right? And my husband will fill out the i-864a?

I got the email today from NVC with the AOS fee invoice. However I logged in at ceac.state.gov buy the pay link is still not active.

Do you guys have any idea as to how long it takes for the link to be active?

December 31, 2013:: NVC: send documents and payment

January 15, 2014:: NVC contacts me and says received documents

February 5, 2014:: Send me an email saying :: Dear Sir or Madam:

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing
of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner
and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment
until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of
the interview. Additional documentation requirements if applicable can be referenced at
the following URL: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3742.html

It's a parents of USC thread, but congratulations anyway:)

From the IR5 timelines, the interview happens about 2 months from Case Complete. Not sure about spouse visas. There must be lots of info here on the forum. Probably the same. My previous experience is K3, and my interview was after 3.5 months.

The link was activated tonight so I was able to pay and print the barcoded document cover sheet.

I have in my packet the ff:

barcoded document cover sheet

completed and signed I-864

I-864A

2013 2012 2011 tax returns and w-2s

copies of both my husband's passport and mine

letter of employment from my husband's command

joint proof of residency (from the mortgage company)

my marriage certificate

what else do i need to inlcude?

do i need to include some of my mom's civil documents like her birth certificate, marriage contract, and my birth certificate?

The AOS supporting documents look right.

Normally, we send the civil documents after your paid the Immigrant Visa fee. I think it has a different barcode sheet from the AOS documents, that one you will use when you send the civil documents.

Just send the AOS document. The bc, mc, nbi, police clearance you submit it with the IV documents checklist. on your AOS make sure that on line 22 from your tax return is what you will put on the part 6 line 13a, 13b, and 13c. so that you will not get an AOS Checklist.

Thank you. That's exactly what I did.

As for my current annual income i put $0 as I am a homemaker and filled out number 6a 6b and 6c with my household member's info and his annual income. He makes more than enough that we made it past the poverty line.

I mailed the AOS package last Thursday and it got to the NVC office last Saturday. They obviously were closed and the mailman left a redelivery slip for the NVC to fill out when they want it redelivered or if they want to pick it up instead.

Does USPS automatically redeliver it or do I have to call USPS to arrange a redelivery?

I got the answer to my own question lol

I called USPS this morning and they told me that it will be redelivered today. I checked the status and voila! Its at the NVC now.

I can't wait to get the invoice for the IV fee.

hello guys.. i got the IV invoice and paid the IV fee today. has anyone sent the supporting docs through email by scanning everything that's needed?

or did you guys have to mail in the supporting documents?
