I-134 Question and Embassy Question

Hello everyone,

First I like to thank everyone here. Even though this is the first time I am posting here, this website helped me a lot during this process

Today I called NVC and asked them if they received my case and the gentleman over the phone gave me my case number and indicated that my case was forwarded to consulate yesterday. Now I have 2 questions:

1. Based on the information on this website, at this point I need to gather supporting documents for I-134. Is there a time limit for the supporting documents of I-134 to expire. I am just wondering if I get the letters from my bank and work tomorrow, how long these letters will be valid before I have to request to get them again. Should I wait to receive something from consulate before putting together my I-134 supporting documents?

2. On my I-129F, I requested a different consulate but my case is forwarded to another consulate. When I asked the guy over the phone why is that? he replied it is already forwarded to consulate and I can follow up with them after they received my files in about a week from now. My question is, can I ask them to forward my case to the original consulate I requested or is it going to cause more delays and possibly will cause me some trouble down the road?
