No. I didn't include my mum or my sisters because there wasn't a relevant section. The only section for siblings and parents was the "household members who will be combining their income". So as the kids are too young to work and we only got my dad to complete the I864A, we only counted him.

Right, which is exactly why a I-864 and I-864A for parent doesn't really work in this situation. Your household count is incorrect.

That does make sense.

So even though all they are apparently asking for is period of citizenship, the best thing to do would be to resubmit those forms and a letter explaining our mistake? I'm just worried about sending lots of documents that may confuse them further. I mean how would we explain what we've sent them?

Your call, but I would redo the forms. Just send in a cover letter that you have redone them, outline all the evidence, etc. Be sure to include proof of citizenship for your dad and all correct evidence (like complete tax returns (or tax transcripts), proof of current employment, etc).

One last question. As my mom is disabled and recieves a state benefit which is on her and my dad's tax return, do you think she'd need to complete an I864A or should we ignore that completely and just use my dad's income?

I think mom should do I-864A, attached to dad's I-864.
