Hi everyone I am a newbie on VJ and hoping someone can share their wisdom with my situation. I am becoming impatient with this process... All I want is an interview date.... which from what I understand are now being scheduled in March 2014.

Our timeline... NOA1 May10/13, NOA2 Sept 26/13, NVC rec.Oct ?? Montreal received Nov.4/13. I filled out DS-160 online Nov.19th. We haven't received the P-3 or P-4 letters. Shouldn't I have the P-4 by now or am I being impatient?

Any advise???

Hi there!

Many beneficiaries with Montreal have said that they never received their Packet 3. You can e-mail the consulate to ask if they have sent it out. If they have, you can submit your documents for P3. :)

I'm sure you will get more responses in the Canada regional forum on here when a moderator moves this thread there soon!

Congratulations on getting this far in the process. :) You're getting there!

08/21/2013: I-129F sent
08/23/2013: I-129F delivered
08/28/2013: NOA1 text/e-mail received
09/03/2013: NOA1 hard copy received
10/28/2013: NOA2!
11/02/2013: NOA2 hard copy received

Moved from K1 forum to Canada as question is Canadian-specific

Call the National Visa Center, get your montreal case number and ask if they sent out packet 3. You will likely not get anything in the actual mail. Without haste, download the packet 3 pdf and follow the instructions and then email montreal the results in the format they will instruct you in the pdf. Then wait...eventually they will log it and "send out" packet 4. The only way you'll know if they have done it is to phone the state department repeatedly to ask. Then download the packet 4 pdf and follow it's instructions.

I actually submitted the Package 3 with the DS-260 electronically on November 19th. I noticed that many members on this site have said Montreal may never send the P3. I sent it without receiving it.

Sorry I wasn't clear. Should I still call the DOS or keep waiting?

Remember there was a US holiday recently and the consulate will have been closed. The Montreal consulate is notoriously slow. So I would email them (at least you can... IR1/CR1 have to fill out an online form....)

Thanks for the replies. I will send Montreal an email today.

I am grateful to all who have shared their experiences, the wealth of knowledge is invaluable.

If you just sent it in on the 19th, you're right there with FloridaCanuck, myself, and a few others who are still waiting for a stupid packet 4. It's been a painful waiting process, but supposedly, we're all still on track, so we just gotta hold faith :)
