Well we just sent off all the AOS paperwork yesterday and they received it this morning! We were married last Friday and got back from our honeymoon in Las Vegas on Moonday))

Hoping to have EAD and AP soon so i can visit home then start to work)))

I got the dreaded RFE in the mail today.

They are asking for a Federal tax return for the previous tax year, and the problem is that it was actually included with my AOS package...

I guess I just have to send it again, and hope there are no other RFEs

K1 in 2013, AOS in 2014, ROC in 2017

I haven't been around much because, as you can probably guess, it's very hard to see everyone's lives moving along while I'm still stuck here.

We've already used up two of the petition extensions, so, I suppose I can at least focus on the fact that no matter what, I'll be in the US next summer, but it's so hard this never-ending wait. My fiance was here for ten very short days, and that was wonderful, but we just miss each other so much.

I'm still in my country. :(

Do you have any idea what's going on with your case? It looks like it just came to a dead stop right at the moment it should have started moving quickly.

NOA2: 6/25/2014 - We found out later it had been approved (but not posted) before congressional inquiry received.

Shipped to Embassy: 7/17/2014

Received by Embassy: 7/21/2014 - Status: READY

Packet 3.5: 7/24/2014

Packet 3.5 Sent: 8/7/2014 (We had delays because of civil unrest in Pakistan)

Embassy Receive: 8/21/2014 (Again delays due to civil unrest)

Receive Appointment Letter/Interview Date: 8/27/2014 (interview date in just 9 days)!

Medical Exam: 8/29/2014 (Yikes! The whole thing has now been postponed for 2 months for TB testing)

Interview Date: Originally 9/5/2014 - Now Postponed for at least two months

TB Test Results: 10/15/2014 - came back 18 days early! And she's negative!

Interview Rescheduled 10/17/2014: (embassy moving at lightning speed)!

The visa case itself is fine - pending at the Embassy. However, I have two children whose father, though no longer living in the country, will not provide the authorization for the visas, so I had to go to court to obtain full custody. That's what's causing our delay - until that gets settled, I can't take my children with me.

Congratulations!! I can't believe it took so long for you to get the visa...

you must be so relieved!

I got the approval emails/texts last week for AP and EAD, now Im waiting for the docs to arrive in the mail, that's all I want for Christmas this year!
