My fiance received a letter from the senator's office stating that our petition is "pending for adjudication"

I hope it means something in favor to our approval.

I'm sorry but I really don't think so :( We're all "pending adjudication", even those that only filed last week. It means your file is in the queue waiting for someone to look at it. On a positive note, it probably means they haven't lost/hidden/eaten your file :-D

Really hope you hear something soon.

Do you have an update on the situation you encountered with him? How is it going? Is everything better?

He is normal now, but he had two major breakdowns where he was not making a lot of sense.. He has accepted that something happened. We think it was related to the stress of waiting, of leaving his country and everything he knows, pressure from his mother and others as well as his anxieties about our relationship.. but I am not sure whether there is some other issue at work.

He is at the psychiatrist right now. I don't think he could actually be diagnosed as schizophrenic because in order to do so it's supposed be ongoing for at least 6 months, and his episodes seem to come and go.. That said, he was taking the medication and forgot it at his father's house when he returned to his mother's, and didn't take it for more than 4 days and was fine. So I really don't know

This really sucks. We wait seemingly forever for a NOA2. When we finally get it, her passport and DS-160 filed, she gets online with the Embassy in Manila only to find out there is no availablilty for appointments!!!! Grrrrr! She checks every day. She e-mails and receives courteous replies telling her that there are no available slots for fiance interviews. Our approved K-1 application expires July 19th. Are there any Pinays encountering similar situations out there? What happens if there are no "slots" by July 19th? For the love of Zeus!!!

Wow this is new. So what if by then you don't have an appointment ?? can you extend it ? it's obviously not your fault ? is it one of those crack hole that USCIS points finger at the embassy and vice versa ??????

I just found out the the date of expiration on your 797 is not necesarily your expiration date. I just got off the phone with the Philippine Embassy. They told me she has up to one year to complete processing. Whew.....! Not the best news, but better than the worst.

Well the interview went fine, they didn't even check the evidence I painstakingly compiled, but they claim that part of the I-129F was not complete and asked my fiance to have me send it. The frustrating part is it's the same damn form I got an RFE on and both he and they should already have a corrected copy of it! We are in Administrative Processing. I just emailed it to them. Otherwise we should be approved though. Ugh
