Has anyone that got a NOA2 approval around the late April / early May timeline had their file arrive at NVC yet? I don't really want to call and also heard that we will receive a letter once it does. Just wanted to see if anyone had any kind of an update!

Thanks guys!

I got NOA2 on May 6, got the notice that it had been shipped to NVC on May 12, called on the 13th they didn't have our case yet. I called late at night and waited about 25 minutes before I got someone on the phone. The lady said the processing timeframe is 4 to 5 weeks... Someone walking from TSC to NVC would be faster than that!

I will try again tomorrow early morning, and probably every day until I know they have it!

Hey TheFoxxy, I got notice that it was shipped on May 12th to NVC and didn't want to waste my time being on hold, to be told it hasn't been received, so I think I'm going to call either tomorrow night or Monday night to find out! Did you get notice that it was shipped?

Thanks for the quick replies guys! I got a notice on May 5th that it had been sent. I really don't want to call and get put on hold to be told that it hasn't been received, I honestly do not want to call at all because there's almost no point.

The next step that we even have interaction with would be when they send the packet to Diana's house in Russia correct?

So really getting the case # isn't super important? Maybe I am completely wrong, but I was also told that they would send us a letter with that # on it as well.

Anyways just wanted to keep in touch.. Kind of just waiting some more now but overall happy we got the NOA2 still!

Yes and no point to calling really. At least for my fiancé, I read through London once he gets the case number and police certificate he can book his medical. I'm not sure if it works that way for Russia. But it's something to look into, we just want to try and move along quicker to finish this process. They will send the letter out, once it's been shipped to your consulate!

Awesome!

Diana cannot do the medical until she has the interview scheduled I believe.. Moscow embassy wants medical done the same day as interview from what I understand.

Luckily we have almost everything else ready to go.. Last time I was there I brought the affidavit of support and all supporting documents with me. She has already gotten her police report too so we are just waiting for the embassy to mail her the things they need sent back.

At this point I think we are looking at an early August POE. Not too happy about that because it is the hottest time of the year in Texas!

According to the embassy website, you must do the medical exam before your interview. I've heard it may take up to three days to get the results of the exam, and one must have them for the interview, but you can verify this:

We got visas in hand Friday! We booked the flight and her and her daughter will be here on July 7. Booking that flight and knowing the exact date we will be together is very exciting.

I just want to share my timeline: My petitioner filed 1129 F last November 2013...at Texas Service Center then received the NOA1 January 2014...NOA2 January 23, 2014...it is already turning 4 months on 23rd May 2014 waiting for the appointment for the interview from the US embassy Abu Dhabi...it is sometimes frustrating to wait..but for sure it will also come...I just noticed that the California filers are quiet fast in getting the notification for appointment from the embassy...

Just a reminder to those getting noa2's, please update your timelines. I have been tracking it for two weeks now and there is no change in the overview. Which is worrysome.
