November 2013 TSC Filers

Hi All- I'm a Dec 9th filer and I was just wondering how many November filers are still waiting for NOA2. I just wanted to get an idea of what month TSC might be working on. Thanks

My fiancé called USCIS yesterday, and he got the standard reply "wait till 5 months after NOA1 (which is in 20 days) and file a complait" and that "it takes different amount of time for background checks depending on the situation".

Then when he asked for a supervisor/someone with more info, he was told (after a 55 minute hold) that Texas is still working on cases from October 2nd. That was already the answer last week from another VJ member if I remember correctly.

So now I'm just gonna wait for the 5 months as it's only in 19 days and filling the complait.

Good to all thoses in the same situation waiting for NOA2!

Thank you for the update, please keep those of us still waiting in the loop will you? I hope we do not have to call after 5 months but incase we do it will be nice to know what to ask/say and what others responses are!

Thanks for the info. I just find it interesting that they keep saying they are working on October when the majority of November filers and more than half of the December filers on Igor's list have received NOA2.

Anyway, hopefully this is our month.

Oh wait, I thought wrong! So the countdown will start from NOA1 and not the day you filed?

If that's the case, another month of waiting for me to hit the 5month mark. Grrr!

But we filed November, I'm still a November filer.

Looks like my case is back on track with the online/email notifications.. Just got notice that they have received and are processing my RFE response. Keeping my fingers crossed that the review goes quickly

We got our NOA2 only few days after they received our RFE response. So it should be any day now, I'm sure!

I am really hoping that it doesn't get held up at or sent back from NVC because *gulp* LOI and G-325A for my fiance were color copies signed in blue pen, not original signatures... Didn't get RFE for it though.. Maybe they won't notice.. o_O

Hello all -

Had my interview this morning! Went in at 8.30 AM, left around 11.30 AM.

The interview was a breeze - essentially had two, the first lady asked me things like where we met, how we met, if we've visited each other's families, what he does for work, what he does in his free time, etc etc. She mentioned that my file was really easy, but that there were a lot of harder cases in my time slot too so that is why it was taking so long.

The second interview - where I had to take an oath and the consulate agent asked me more or less similar questions.

Now I just have to wait for the police certificate to be sent to the consulate and get my medical done and I will be good!

There was a woman there though, trying to get her green card that wasn't getting as much luck...she basically had a very fraud-sounding case (i.e. hadn't seen her husband in over a year, even though her husband only lives an hour away from Hong Kong...she doesn't work, and when asked who supports her, she said her husband. And asked what he does, she said he works in the kitchen at a restaurant in china, and he said I don't understand how he can support you in Hong Kong while working a kitchen job in China...) so in the end, I don't think they denied her but she had to show a lot more proof.

That's great news!

I booked my medical for my kids and me, for next Tuesday. They asked for an interview date but I explained why I don't have one yet and why I was booking the medical now (to take advantage of the kids' school break) and there were no issues. Still waiting on the court for a hearing date to be set, but acting preemptively now regarding everything else so that I can be set to go as soon as they schedule the interview.

Also, still hoping and crossing fingers for you all that are still waiting. Thinking of you all, guys. Hang in there.

Hi LiseB. Keep bugging them by making calls every 2 3 days and send emails on tsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov. I hope you'll get your NOA2 soon. I got mine 9 days before our 5 month mark.
