Indeed, though we filed late November, it doesn't mean we are not as stress as early filers.

Hoping and crossing fingers for this week approval.

2013 filers deserve to be on top of processing papers.

Good luck to us November filers!

I have heard also that if you filed with complete documents such as affidavit of support (which I don't think is needed) will be granted of fast approval.

Does that mean, those still waiting for approval like 2013filers has lacking documents? They should have send RFE already, but some also got RFE after 4months.

I don't know which is which.

Same question - My fiance never received a letter from the NVC.

I don't think it's necessary since you already have a case number on the CEAC site, and I assume when you log onto the USCIS site the last note is that they mailed your petition to the NVC right? You can always screen cap that and print it out just in case!

It's best for you guys to expect the worst and hope for the best. I know it's hard. Military families deal with distance all the time. For you guys, it's temporary. I would suggest that you all find hobbies and goals to meet while waiting. In doing this, time will fly. I bet the moment you make up in your mind to do to be patient and wait, you will see an approval. Love is patient.

I hope so too. We've been NOA1 for longer than you. The only time I called in, they told me to wait until 5 months had elapsed. For us, that means April 5th. There is also a very long wait in the Philippines for interviews. The only thing I can say as the petitioner is that I love Cecille and will wait till hell freezes over for her. Such is life. Good luck to you ERE&RVV!

Don't forget that there are people who keep a close eye out for the interview slots and are able to grab an earlier slot because it opens up. It happens. You just have to be patient and keep checking.

I know it's not your case yet, but at least consider yourself lucky you can do that. I have to wait for the Embassy to schedule my interview (and I'm not even close to that point), which makes traveling arrangements more difficult and it means my children will most likely lose two days of school (if not more). Such are the cards each one of us is dealt with.

We got our NOA2 and the status on CEAC website shows In Transit. I called NVC and tried to find the tracking id for the package but was told that they don't have/give tracking number. Is that correct or did I read in some post that people were able to track the package? How long should I wait before calling the embassy. Also what is the process from here on - will the consulate mail a letter or should we call the consulate or should we just schedule the interview?? Any help/suggestion is appreciated.

You can only track the package your passport is in, after the visa is issued, and only for some countries where that option is viable. You cannot track your petition from NVC to the Embassy aside from the CEAC website, as it changes from "In Transit" to "Ready".

As for what happens after, it really depends on how your Embassy functions. For some, you need to call them, for others they send you an email, for mine, for example, you receive a letter in the mail. Look at your regional sub-forum and/or Embassy reviews to know what to expect.

I called my local embassy yesterday, even though my status was still in transit as I was a bit confused because it says "NVC has given you an interview date". So I called and they said because it's still in transit, we have to wait. They said they would contact me when I get the package and I asked in what form (mail, email, telephone, etc) and they said it should be through e-mail. I remember when I called NVC about my case number, they had specifically asked me for my e-mail address as well as double checking if the petitioner's email address was correct as well.

Once my case on ceac status changes from in transit to ready, I will either give the local embassy a call again if I don't get an email. I also read on my local embassy's website (as well as their voicemail) that I am to fill out ds-160 before I can schedule an interview? Anyway...

In some cases, you need the DS-160 Confirmation number to be able to schedule the interview - this might be the case for you. It really is best to check with VJers who have been through the same embassy as yours to know the best way to do things.

We still don't have our NVC letter,.... Should I be worried? The case was arriving at NVC on march 3rd, 2014 and was getting transferred to my embassy in germany on march 6, 2014!

But my fiance still didn't got a mail from NVC, do I need the letter from the NVC at my Interview or not?

You do not need anything from NVC for the interview. Some people receive a letter from them, many don't. As long as you have your case number, then you can use that to go on by. That's all they really need.

Too funny people already have their visas while some of us don't even have the NOA2. This is getting real difficult(

I can hardly imagine the frustration. I'm still always popping in to see if any of you still waiting have any news. Still crossing my fingers. Hang in there, guys!

You do not need the affidavit of support in your petition, and in no way does it push your case for a faster approval. Wherever you heard that, it's wrong. Why some cases get approved faster than others is anyone's guess.

I think I'm in an RFE pile because all the I-129Fs with SRC#s about 5 in front of mine got RFEs.. And if you go even earlier then were a bunch that filed the incorrect form all in a row too. So I am sort of expecting an RFE and just wish they would get it over with!

They have no way of knowing that your file will be incomplete when they assign a case number to you. I think that is just a coincidence. Doesn't mean you won't get an RFE, of course, but don't assume you will just because the people before/after you did. I know it's easy for me to say, but do hang in there. It will happen!

How can you figure out who's ahead of you? Is it just changing the last digit? There's no movement on any of the ones before or after my SRC number. :-(

You can check any petition you want by changing the last digits. There was a post somewhere about that, early in either this thread or the regular November filers thread, that explained it all in detail. Personally, I didn't find it helpful in the least, as what happens with other petitions has no bearing on what happens to yours. But that's just my opinion.

I can't verify this, but I heard that some petitions get selected out for training purposes, which might account for some of the slower ones. Also, it's possible the outstanding petitions might be in a pile on the desk of a person who was out sick, on vacation or who works more slowly; availabity of translators for certain languages to verify translations might be an issue; Texas is taking on cases from Vermont and perhaps other service centers, so things might be a bit chaotic, etc., etc. - it's anyone's guess. Let's all keep the faith!

A note to Russian filers - we of course were concerned, as many were, that current political relations might trickle down to us, but my Congresswoman's office assured me that only high-level political people would be effected, and that we should be fine. Just wanted to reassure everyone concerned.

They have no way of knowing that your file will be incomplete when they assign a case number to you. I think that is just a coincidence. Doesn't mean you won't get an RFE, of course, but don't assume you will just because the people before/after you did. I know it's easy for me to say, but do hang in there. It will happen!
