I can't fill it out yet - I also need to do my children's and I only had their passports renewed this week, taking advantage of their mid-term school break. I'll be able to fill them out once I get their new passports, which should be in about two weeks. I'm also still waiting for some court paperwork to come through, so I'm not in any hurry. Even if I had everything set and ready to go, I will still only be able to move in the summer, so our timings have actually worked out ok for us. :)

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

Everybody, I just called NVC and we were getting our case number :-)! So happy,....

Ok BEFORE I start the DS-160 because I always read from people who say it is this or this answer, what do I have to take now for checking the status, NONIMMIGRANT VISA OR IMMIGRANT VISA....

I'm sorry just so happy to finally get the case number after waiting for everything so long, it is so exciting lol I really appreciate it so much that everything is moving much faster now, one or two weeks is nothing compared to what we were going through....

Love XxX

Trisha, check your case status under Immigrant visa.

K1's are kind of strange that way in the sense that they're neither Immigrant nor Non-Immigrant visas. While they clearly have Immigrant intent, they also are not enough to get you AOS by itself. So even the immigration services don't quite know what to do with us. :D

I'm so happy to hear that things are finding moving forward (and quickly) for you and your fiancé!

I've been following your trials and tribulations and I'm where you were about a month ago. At 5.5 months, we just received an absurdly vague response to a service request ("additional review" and "communication within 90 days" - uuugh!) and are feeling rather despondent. I keep going back to your example, of how you kept at it and pushed for answers and take heart from the fact that everything came through in the end. By the way, do you think that it was the Congressman that made the difference, or...?

Thanks for sharing the ups and downs of the process and best of luck with these next steps!

We have in the end no idea what REALLY helped us to get the NOA2, .... It prolly was the help of the senator but you can never to 100% say it was him.

We are really really thankful though for his help, I mean in the end of this 6 months of waiting you were putting your hopes on every little blade of grass...

It is really hard when you don't see the light at the end of the tunnel and that's why I understand truely everybody here very very good that is still waiting for NOA2. I'm a very emotional person and had so far the hardest time of my life with waiting for the NOA2 and have never been sleeping so often on wet pillows like in this 6 months, but it is truely worth it, especially because I can see how fast everything is moving now, I'm speechless.

Wsihing everybody a lot of power and truely my best wishes to all who are still waiting for NOA2! It is so worth it.

True Love is always the winner.

Hi Guys,

Something very strange happened with us which has left us stumped protest6wz.gif and worried...

On Feb 20th we received NOA2 mail from USCIS and then on Feb 26th they notified us by both email as well as status update on USCIS website that they have shipped our case to the Department of State....

On March 5th we received a new email from USCIS that they have approved our petition on March 5th and our online status also changed....

My fiance called USCIS and they said that they can only see the latest update on their screen and can't crosscheck the updates for Feb 20th and Feb 26th....

Our case hasn't yet reached NVC...we are calling them almost daily starting this week....

What should we do? What should we believe...has anyone experienced something similar?

The intriguing part is you haven't received the NOA2 hardcopy yet, correct?

I would continue calling NVC to inquire about it, but do be on the lookout for the NOA2 Hardcopy and the dates on it.
