I called the 603 nvc number and asked if they've assigned a case status, but the woman said there wasn't anything yet. And I should wait another 8 weeks. doot doot doot.

Yeah, I was told about 8 weeks waiting time, but when I called few days later they already have my case number and petition was send to the embassy :)

My petition was mailed to NVC on Feb 14. I called today (Feb 26) and they said they have received it but no case number had been assigned yet. Maybe I should try again Friday. That will be two full weeks. Congratulations to all those advancing forward. Everyday that passes puts us a day closer.

2 days to go and its gonna be a whole month of March waiting for noa2. :(

My fiance called for the 4th time, and he started to feel bad about it. February filers were getting approval. Why can't we? :(

So I got an email from USCIS saying that they have shipped my case to the Department of State for visa processing. I assume this means that the NVC has my case now? I will call again next week to see if they've assigned the case number.

I got email feb 20th about approved case on NOA2, and again on feb 25th that they have shipped my case.

How much time does it take for NVC to receive the file and to issue the case number? My fiance called NVC on Feb 26th but they said they have not received the file yet.

I know. :( It's not fair and it makes little sense. Just hang in there - it will come through.

The both of you can start calling NVC towards the end of next week. You need to give them enough time for NVC to physically receive the cases and process them.

I have been reading through this thread for what seems like an hour playing catch up. I am glad to see I am not the only November filer still waiting. I filed in November and received my NOA1 on Dec 5th. I am hoping hoping HOPING to hear something soon and see this thread light up with NOA2 announcements.

I am still hoping and praying and crossing fingers for all of you still waiting.

Our noa1 is on Dec 4th. And now my fiance is asking help of the congressman, calling them is not helping. :(
