How does your Embassy typically operate? Have you read the reviews?

I'm waiting for Packet 3, but I know that they DO send it out and it usually gets to the beneficiary in around 2 weeks time from the moment the case is first processed at my Embassy.

Well good news and not so good news, finally got email from embassy which is instructions on packet 3, bad news it's a complicated mess... will need to call the consulate on list of doctors since VJ site on consulate is outdated.. and my fiancee internet service isn't that great, to be uploading and downloading, don't these people know not everyone has access to this? Wish us luck we need it

*sighs* It's two weeks now and USCIS apparently still didn't send out case to NVC. Why is it taking that long.. I will be worried that they lost it..

I have found the process to bring me and fiance even closer together, and I know the same has happened for many on here.

Also, I would bet most of those January approvals (even February) are from CSC. California is approving petitions fast (even if there are a few who haven't been approved yet - and I can hardly imagine how frustrating it is for them sad.png ). The downside is that they take forever to send the approved petitions to NVC, so in the end, it kind of balances out.

I check here often in the hope my words offer some measure of hope and comfort. Hang in there, everyone. Just keep hanging in there.

Yes I know right! In reality, most people don't money falling outside their pockets to travel to see their love ones. It's good to stay occupied and busy to keep from being idle. I got so busy preparing for her coming, that I went ahead and bought a house :). Now, i'm just focusing on adding features to it that she may like such as: A Large nose rain-shower head. It feels awesome sitting under that thing. I know she will enjoy it. She's smaller than me, so it will feel like heaven to her. Now I'm looking for something else to probably get that couples need.

It can take a while to get to NVC just keep checking with them periodically to see if they have received it. Mines took about 20 days from the notification that it was mailed to NVC for them to receive and issue a case number. Good luck to you, you are getting there.

How do you know? Have you called NVC?

you can also contact USCIS and get confirmation from them that it has actually been mailed out.

Yeah, we called NVC on Tuesday and they still didn't have our papers. Now we decided to wait until Monday and call again. And probably call USCIS also, yeah.

Yoohoo!! We got our NOA2 today as well. Was hoping for a valentine day gift but will accept a 1 week belated gift. Wonder why the USCIS email comes at 9PM and not in realtime. Do our govt officers work really hard and put in late hours?? Oh well, praying for everyone else and hang in there. Good times with your significant other are ahead!!

I'm assuming you are the beneficiary, correct?

Now, as I mentioned before, I received a notification that the case had been sent to NVC; not everyone does. My status on the USCIS website also changed when that happened; not everyone's status changes, though. So, keep a lookout on those, but bear in mind that nothing might happen. In about two weeks' time, you can start calling NVC to see if you've been assigned a case number yet. Once you have that, you can start tracking your case on the CEAC website.

In the meantime, have your fiance start gathering and preparing the documents to be sent to you (Affidavit of Support and supporting evidence and the like).
