Where do I find that? All I got was a letter saying it was sent to the consulate February 14.

Go here: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ - click on Check My Visa Application Status under Immigrant Visa. Then put in the case number that should be in your letter from NVC (not the SRC number, a new number also starting with three letters referring to your specific embassy), click Submit, and a window pops up with the status of your case. Right now, it should read "In Transit".

First I was informed it was sent to the department of state, then sent to the consulate but I never got a number.

From what I know, the Department of State and the National Visa Center are connected.

The letter you received, also from what I know, should have your case number on it. I don't know what the letters for your embassy will be, maybe BJG? For Paris, for example, which is where I'll interview, it's PRS.

Sparkle did you get a letter or email or checked website?, I found out my case status was in "READY" through website, then called State Department to find out it was at the embassy. we never got a notice letter, email nothing!

I initially received a notification that the case had been sent to NVC through the email notification system of the USCIS website (Feb 3 - same kind of email I received when the alien number was changed and when the petition was approved). My fiance, who had signed the notification form, was not notified of the NOA2 (even though he had been for the NOA1).

About a week later, I asked my fiance to call NVC and ask if we had a case number. He was finally able to call on the 11th and was given our number. Since then, I have been checking the CEAC website regularly. Our status changed from "At NVC" to "In Transit" on the 14th, right before the site went down for maintenance. Then it changed again to "Ready" today, the 19th. Because of the status change, and the fact that I now have two other case numbers attached to mine (they appear on the little CEAC window - I'm assuming it's because of my two kids), I know that our case has started to be processed at the Embassy.

No official notification from NVC that our case had been shipped. I wouldn't have known if it weren't for the CEAC website. I did tell my fiance to keep a look out for a letter from NVC - nothing has arrived yet.

So you called and got your number?? I signed up for emails but after the N0A1 I stopped receiving emails. I dad to check USCIS everyday for updates. My letter says if I have any questions I should call the consulate. I guess I need to contact NVC and get my number. At any rate, we're excited.

Thank You Guys for participating in this particular poem. I love all the support and concern from fellow November Filers. It seems to me that all of the November 27th and 29th Filers are forgotten.

What is it a man to do? They say good things comes to those who wait; however, the wait in itself doesn't feel good at all. I kind of feel like I am not worthy of a stress-free process. It's out of my hands. I try to stay busy and leave it in God's hands. It's all about God anyway. Marriage was His idea. Please Keep me encourage guys

The January Filers are creeping up with the November Filers. Is there some type of quota that the Texas Service Center is trying to achieved. How is it that this is even possible? I know that many variables come into play in approving a petition but geesh, someone give me some relief. Patience is a virtue. Lord knows I'm not going anywhere, but curiosity may only killed cats, it trying to kill my patient that I have gained over the past years through trial and tribulations. Lol.. I work with the government and I know politics. I hope the politics of this process doesn't outweigh the fairness of wait times. I am happy for all those who have been approved however, and for those waiting with me, hang in there. There is a wait for a reason outside of the USCIS. Sometimes waiting brings out the intentions and it sometimes show how much your fiance loves you. Love is patient.

I have found the process to bring me and fiance even closer together, and I know the same has happened for many on here.

Also, I would bet most of those January approvals (even February) are from CSC. California is approving petitions fast (even if there are a few who haven't been approved yet - and I can hardly imagine how frustrating it is for them ). The downside is that they take forever to send the approved petitions to NVC, so in the end, it kind of balances out.

I check here often in the hope my words offer some measure of hope and comfort. Hang in there, everyone. Just keep hanging in there.

How the heck would we know? I'm still waiting for the embassy to send letter and needed documents information, I know Monday was a holiday so hoping by next Monday we get an email or something, otherwise, more international calls to embassy...
