Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes.

Can1221 to answer your question nothing from the consulate as yet and they are closed Monday (MLK day) and Tuesday (local holiday). So we will wait to see if we hear anything later on in the week or next week.

What is a BGT?? And, when should I call the State Department about my case?

You saw that BGT on Can1221's signature, correct? BGT refers to Bogota, which is the embassy their case is being processed at. :) Because your fiance is in South Africa, your case number will have different letters to it. :)

Are you talking from the three letters in the beginning of the case number? A good friend I met her here on VJ she is applying for an I-129F too and got her NOA2 after 5 months(but she applied last year in february2013).... We ar still waiting for NOA2 and applied in august 2013!!!

What I wanted to ask is because of this three letters, she had different letters in the beginning ALTHOUGH we are both from Germany AND we are both at TSC!!!

I have SRC in the beginning and her's started with E something!? How can this going on???

Maybe there happend a mistake from TSC and that's why we are still waiting???

SRC = Southern regional center so tsc

EAC = Eastern Adjudication Center so vermont....

Ohhhh this waiting is killing me :'(

I agree. That, and some cases being more straightforward than others.

I think the fact that both me and my fiance have been married before, and have children, probably complicates things. Plus, I already have a Social Security number, so I'm sure they're checking up on that. And I've received money from the US because I write and have received royalties. It wouldn't surprise me if all this makes the background checks on our case take longer.

Still, it's so frustrating to see people approved who got their NOA1 after we did. sad.png

Yeah, Sparkle Pony, this friggin SUCKS. Not jealous about the smooth 65 days interview folks, but really P.O.'d about our cases being thrown into the junk pile to be adjudicated possibly 2 months or more from now. I am being faithful to my fiancee and as a man, it sure as heck isn't easy. Please take care Sparkle Pony. Sincerely, Rick

We got our notice it was sent to the State Department Jan 9, so, not sure when to call or what ro ask for? Tryimg to prepare for interview .. This is MADNESS!!!

Our registration was changed on Nov 21 2013 and today I received a letter stating I had missed a question on the I29F form. I have to answer the question and mail it tomorrow. I spoke with my lawyer and he said that means they are working on my case and I should receive our N0A2 in a few days after I mail that back. I will overnight that so they will have it by Monday Jan 27 2014. So for those who are on the same timeline hopefully you will receive yours within the week.
