Hello Ya'll!

Please I need someone who's more knowledgeable to advise me on this as am just freaking tired. i130 was filed since March 2013 and my priority date states 14th March. On 31st of October case was transferred to local office and was told to wait for at least 60 days. What I don't understand is that other people within the same category as I am have gotten their NOA2 and I don't! Its annoying to sit back and not know whats going on. Is this normal? Is there any March 2013 filer here who's going through the same wait time as I am? I'd need your input so I know am not alone. I guess waiting for an approval is the longest of all the stages, just to get an i130 approved is taking forever! protest6wz.gif

Once that kind of transfer happens it has been taking at most a few months for a decision. There are many march filers who are not yet approved. Have you looked at igors list or your monthly I-130 thread?

You're not alone -Coded. A lot of people here are in the same situation like yours. While others got approved even though you submitted earlier than them. My husband and I filed last July, transfered in Texas on Nov.25 and got approved last December 2. Right now we're still waiting for NOA2 or the notice of approval so we could proceed to the NVC process.

Actually there are cases that the NVC process takes longer compared to the USCIS process or I130 approval.

Still all of us are patiently waiting. Let's continue hoping and praying for the best. It will be all worth it as soon as these waiting times ends for sure dancin5hr.gif

You are not alone in this, we are March filers to and our case got transferred to the Nebraska office on Nov 14 and we are yet to receive our NOA2. The waiting is crazy but my wife and I are keeping the flame of love burning because we both know we will have a wonderful story to tell at the end. Which office were you transferred to ?

ONE OF THE MEMBER POSTED TODAY ON VISA JOURNEY

Posted Today, 04:32 AM

Hello!

I have been in conversation with my senator's office and I want to share a bit of info they gave us. It might not mean anything to anyone but we hope that it might cheer someone up a little! goofy.gif

"Currently the National Benefits Center is working on cases filed early April 2013 and the wait time is about one year from the filing date. USCIS hopes to bring the wait time to the 5 month goal. In order to do this, they are moving cases to equalize workflows. We don’t know when they will catch up to meet their goal, and this is just one step of the process. Because there are many factors, any timeline is a guess. In addition, each case is different so some cases take much longer."

Obviously this is not great news, but the good thing is APRIL. The most up to date info on the USCIS site is from September 30th, posted on November 20th. This email was from today! So at least they are moving!!

I hear you and there are hundreds of March/April filers alone who are still waiting for NOA2 so you are definitely not alone.

Here are some recent major factors that have caused us stand alone USC petitions to have been put aside until recently.

Is it fair? Hell to the no! But it is what it is...

DACA petitions.

TPS (Temporary Protected Status) granted for the Philippines so petitions with beneficiaries of the Philippines are being processed very quickly now,

F2-A category I-130's (landed permanent residents petitioning for spouses and children under 21) were also being processed at a crazy rate of speed in order to use up the excess of visa numbers from past years.

A bunch of petitions were transferred in the past few weeks from NBC to the various service centres in a feeble attempt balance out their workload. Ours has been sitting in Nebraska since they transferred it there from Vermont since mid-September.

We need to stay positive and focused that our turn will soon come to get our NOA2. You're right in that waiting for the NOA2 seems to take forever and a day but you'll get it soon I believe.
