TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) — Unknown assailants shot an American teacher to death as he was jogging on Thursday in Benghazi, a hospital official said, underlining persistently tenuous security in the eastern Libyan city where the U.S. ambassador was killed last year.

I have a friend working for an NGO in Tripoli. He stays in a compound all day and night. He bought a cheap Chinese treadmill for $400. This teacher should have had his head examined.

No one is blaming the victim. Just pointing out for any future visitors that jogging in a place where people don't jog and where there are murderous militias with anti-american sentiments probably isn't a good idea.
