Good morning all,

I am a u.s citizen and My wife is from italy and was granted CR-1 status. our 90 days to file our I-751 start DEC 28th 2013.

We were living in the U.S. and we decided to come back beacuse I got a Job in Italy and for our son to go to school for his first year in Italy.

From what I know you cannot file your I-751 outside of the U.S. unless you are in the military. We have our tickets to go back in June and we will stay permanetly. Regardless we will have to file this month from Italy. I will be putting a cover letter explaining why we are filing from Italy and asking for accpetance of our form. I will also put that if we must come back to the u.s for our interview than we will. what else am I missing? where should I send the I-751? keep in mind our permanet adress is in miami florida. any suggestions?

how long has your wife been out of US?

the GC is for living in the US, so she can loose her GC if she has been living out of the US for over a year

ok we moved to miami after getting apporved in feburary 2012 then moved back to italy in june of 2012 then we came back to miami for 3 weeks in january 2013 then went back again to miami for 1 month in august. So technically we have been in Italy for 4 straight months since the last time we were in miami but have tickets to go and stay in june 2014. Its becasue of my job and also her family. we are trying to share the time while our son is still young and not starting grade school. any ideas suggestion?

no,

as said the biometrics are done in the US, she will have to travel to the US to do that. that will be in a few months

when I said she would loose her GC that is if she's has never come back to the US in one whole year.
