I am sorry for the completely noobie question. I am just so brain fried from reading and am new to this forum and this topic all together.

I am about to send off my I-129F to get the ball rolling on the k-1 for my Russian Fiancee.

I was just told that my family bought us cruise tickets for our honeymoon.

I am just wondering how this affects us, if we can or cannot do this or if this constitutes some different situation.

I am just... braindead from doing all this paper work and reading on what paper work I will have to do.

When she arrives and you get married file for AOS and apply for advance parole/ EAP card. Until this card arrives she should not under any circumstance leave the country. Once the AP/EAD combo card arrives then go on the cruise as a late honeymoon.

Do not go on it. She will not get back in the country.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

Where/When is the supposed 'honeymoon' that they bought you? Is it 2 years in the future? Then that should probably be fine if everything goes smoothly.

However, if it's next summer, then it will probably not be feasible. As let's say your fiancee gets her visa in 6 months time (earliest), she will have to enter the US and legally marry you. After she legally marries you, then she will have to apply for AOS (Adjustment of Status)...she can also apply for AP (Advanced Parole). If she doesn't apply for AP, then she CANNOT leave the US while the AOS is processing.

HOWEVER!!! this is a solution if you don't want to waste your family's money. This all depends on WHERE your cruise leaves from. If it leaves from OUTSIDE of the US, then you could just take it as a 'trip', rather than a 'honeymoon' post-wedding trip. Without knowing when they booked the cruise, and assuming it's next summer, your fiancee has 6 months time to enter the US upon getting her k1 visa, therefore you could still just take the trip, and she can then enter the states afterwards. However, if it leaves from the US, then...you should think about cancelling it.
