Hello All,

I am really confused that when I called NVC, the answering syste says" THE NVC is awaiting the return of biographic forms from the petitioner. It will take 6-8 weeks to make the final decision ofthe outcome"

Should I wait for the official DS 230 or I should send the DS 230 part 1 with bio page and cover sheet. or do you advise me to go by james shortcut. My wife in in India. I appreciate your help. I am her agent.

The message is referencing your DS230. You can either wait for the offical packet to come via post, or use James' shortcut. I have read many have used James' shortcut with great success. It's really upto you whether you feel comfortable using the shortcuts or not.

I got the same message yesterday and I sent in our package using James Shortcuts. You will probably save about a week using that method. I assume India does not require anything additional beyond what is normally required. I know that some countries require more documents than others. As long as you are sure you have the correct documents and you are comfortable creating the barcode cover sheet using James Shortcuts, then that is an option to save a little processing time. It is up to you, but it is not that big of a deal either way because you are at the final step of sending documents to the NVC.
