I just received a text message indicating that my case is being transferred to another location and I am almost 7 months in since I received my NOA1 on 5/9/13. Starting to panic a bit because why would they wait so long and is this going to add even more processing time since it's being transferred? Any advice or input is greatly appreciated cray5ol.gif

Here's the rub: your petition has been sitting in a box somewhere since you filed it, up until probably the last few days. Now it's finally time to adjudicate your petition, and either another office can process it faster, or they are swamped and need to move it somewhere for overall casework flow. It's not something bad, and if anything it's good since something is finally happening.

I wouldn't break out the party hats just yet. They're transferring a bunch of the I130 cases which have been collecting dust at the NBC to the California, Texas, and Nebraska Service Centers. In the IR/CR forum, we're tracking the transfers for each month, and how long it takes until approval. In theory, you should have either an approval or an RFE within the next 60 days. But the different service centers have been moving at different speeds, so it really will depend partially on which service center you're being transferred to. I hope for your sake that it's California. Right now, that seems to be the fastest. Nebraska and Texas are slow, and the PD of the cases that they're approving appear to be all over the place.

May filer here. I was transferred to TSC. I got the email notice on 12/5/13. I have received four email notices about transfer of my petition. I received the hard copy confirming the transfer to TSC this week. I hope we all hear something from TSC or the other service were petitions are being transferred this week.
