Hey everyone. I'm back home in a lit and heated house, thanks to God. 12 people died in the storm or it's aftermath, mostly with carbon monoxide poisoning from bringing grills and generators into the house... SAD.

Charles where are you? I've been waiting for this moment to keep you company! I'm up, on VJ, watching TV and you are no where to be found  It is a half day for me at work. Then just trying to clean up (vacuum and dishes that couldn't be done without power) and back to preparing for the holidays.

For those of you leaving town, be safe and enjoy yourselves. Will look forward to hearing your stories.

Doodle and Melinda: This means you!

VP: Glad to see you are back on the boards.

Noura: I see your time is growing near. Happy Holidays and congrats.

Jenn: I'll try to keep the threads in their proper order so I don't upset you over the holidays. :P

MBP: enjoy your vacation from school and get to cleaning. Won't be long. I see Casa is issuing some visas very fast. Not mine, but someone's!!!

Jackie: are you still shopping?

Take care all. See you around.

Maggie

It's still Tuesday here in California. Did Seattle skip 2 days somehow???

I'm happy to hear that you're safe and back home. :)

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

It's alright, it will just add a little spice to what seems to be a quiet week! Two Thursdays, hurrah! :star:

I am waiting for a call from Morocco. The medical was this morning.

One year ago today Idir and I met. He tried to talk to me, but I just tried to ignore him. Does that count as an anniversary date?

The Medical went fine. He got the copy of the vaccination form. Took about 3 hours- running here and running there. He couldn;t get over how many men in Morocco are trying to get to the US. He suggested I come to Morocco and in a couple of years, we have the whole country to ourselves.
