If he's so smart, why is he delving to such low level imagery?

Low level of imagery? Really? He used a historical reference to outline why Palin's use of 'slavery' in the context she used it was appalling and outrageous, he didn't tell anyone to defecate in her mouth but as a result of his image everyone now knows (and a lot of people didn't I am 100% positive INCLUDING PALIN) that this was an ACTUAL PUNISHMENT THAT WAS METED OUT ON REAL SLAVES and you think that his comment was too graphic and sensitive for a modern sophisticated audience? Really, the low levels of comprehension are what are criminally stupid, not what Bashir said and intended by his comments.

You really don't get it do you? I guess that's the real reason why Bashir had to go, he's too smart for the average American to understand.

And btw Skippy, saying that someone is deserved of such punishment, which is what Bashir said of Palin, is equal to advocating it. The definition of advocate includes "being in favor of".

I referenced am example where a commentator called a random woman a ####### and a prostitute but you didn't accept that. It seems unless I find an example that's word for word the same that it doesn't count.

Calling someone a ####### or a prostitute does not equate to what Bashir said. And either way it is still not the norm. A few examples of bizarre actions by some really stupid people out of a pool of thousands, does not make something normal or typical.
